JPJ Unveils A_A Plate Series - Bidding Ends April 23

The Road Transport Department of Malaysia (JPJ) officially launched the special vehicle registration number series A_A in conjunction with its 79th anniversary celebration held in Perak last weekend.
The launch ceremony for this special number plate series was officiated by the Minister of Transport, Anthony Loke Siew Fook.

This unique series features the prefix ‘A’ at the front and the suffix ‘A’ at the end, making it one of the most distinctive and exclusive number plate offerings on the market, similar to the W_W series.
Bidding for the A_A series is open to the public via JPJeBid, the department’s online bidding platform, starting on April 19, 2025. The bidding window will run for five days and officially close at 10.00PM on April 23, 2025.

Winners of the A_A series will be announced on 24 April 2025. A quick check also shows that the number plate A1A is not available for public bidding.
The A_A series, despite having the “A” prefix, is not a Perak state registration number but is under the Wilayah Persekutuan registration.
The bidding process follows the usual terms and conditions outlined on the JPJeBid platform, with minimum prices set for each category: RM20,000.00 for primary numbers, RM5,000.00 for premium numbers, RM2,500.00 for attractive numbers, RM500.00 for popular numbers, and RM300.00 for regular numbers.
