Would You Fancy The Proton e.MAS 5 With A Black Interior?

The Proton e.MAS 5 from its official press preview held last month (Aug). Lately, Proton has publicly teased a never before seen black interior motif for it.

Here’s something that we almost missed in the midst of the fever-paced rationalised RON95 subsidy news content that’s taking centre stage lately, and it involves the upcoming new Proton e.MAS 5 EV hatch.

In fact, from its latest rounds of online teasers, it appears that the national automaker has quietly previewed a new black interior colour option that was not seen prior during the model's initial press preview held last month (Aug).

Notably, Proton has been quietly showing this off to the public at selected roadshows too. Based on the reception documented, this is certainly an option that we reckon the automaker will have ready in the e.MAS 5 for when it launches.

Our best guess here is that this new black-coloured scheme could be offered in lower-end grades of the e.MAS 5 – something Proton hasn’t yet shown officially to local press.

Proton had initially previewed the e.MAS 5 featuring an off-white colour scheme for the cabin and its synthetic leather upholstery.

As a refresher, the national automaker officially previewed the e.MAS 5 prior featuring a white-hued cabin. The upholstery of choice here was a synthetic leather. This not only reflected the ‘sustainable’ norm in EVs now, it also felt decently plush.

Regardless of colour though, what’s certain is that the e.MAS 5 is set to offer its prospects a cabin that’s not only stylish and plush, but one that’s highly practical and very spacious, and also very tech laden.
