Auto Guangzhou 2025: Leapmotor A10 Detailed – Coming To Malaysia?

The Leapmotor A10 (B03X) made its debut at Auto Guangzhou 2025, marking the first public appearance of the compact electric crossover and the first model developed on Leapmotor’s new global A platform.
The A10 will enter the Chinese market in the first half of 2026 with a starting price below RMB100,000 (RM58,000). This places it directly against the BYD Atto 2 in the entry-level EV segment.
Previously previewed through official teasers, the A10 is designed to challenge the notion that compact cars must compromise on space, technology or premium features. The exterior features rectangular taillights with a “smile” signature, three-segment LED headlamps, functional air ducts and a long 1,133-mm bonnet.

Semi-hidden door handles, blacked-out pillars and a floating roof effect align it with Leapmotor’s latest design language. Six global exterior colours and 18-inch alloys complete the exterior package.
The A10 measures over 4,200 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase exceeding 2,600 mm. Cabin utilisation sits at 88.1%, giving it proportions close to the BYD Atto 2 while maximising usable interior space.

A panoramic roof, left fender charging port, and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor are integrated into the body. Six blue exterior indicator lamps illuminate when the advanced driver assistance system is active.
Built on the latest LEAP architecture, the A10 supports door-to-door driver assistance, full-vehicle OTA updates and an AI-driven cockpit. The infotainment system runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295P chip, while driving assistance is powered by the Snapdragon 8650 platform.

The A10 delivers up to 500 km CLTC range using a high-density LFP battery. Fast charging takes the pack from 30% to 80% in 16 minutes, adding roughly 250 km of driving range.
Leapmotor positions the A10 as a “smart premium long-range SUV” aimed at rational buyers seeking an affordable yet well-equipped second vehicle, along with first-time EV buyers upgrading from ICE compacts. Backed by Stellantis, the A10 will launch in China before expanding into global markets.

In Malaysia, Leapmotor is already represented by the D-segment C10, while the C-segment B10 has just opened for booking at an estimated RM110k. Even so, the brand has yet to gain meaningful traction locally, despite the C10 being priced competitively against the BYD Atto 3 and the Proton e.MAS 7.
That may soon change. With Leapmotor Malaysia pushing ahead on product expansion, the A10 has a strong chance of arriving as early as 2026, possibly in CKD form to qualify for EV tax incentives. If introduced, it would enter a crowded compact EV segment, taking aim at the BYD Atto 2, Proton’s e.MAS 5 and Perodua’s QV-E.
