UMWT Shifted 9,141 Units in Oct 2025, YTD Now at 79,559 Units

UMW Toyota Motor closes October 2025 on a high note by shifting 9,141 units, bringing its YTD sales to 79,559 units.

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) ended October 2025 on a high note by charting a positive sales record of 9,154 units, which brings its year-to-date (YTD) sales volume to 79,559 units. This positive sales figure also marks an increase over the previous month, with the automaker only managing to shift 8,172 units in Sept this year.

On the broader scale, October has been a momentous month for Toyota as a brand, as the automaker’s latest mobility innovations recently took centre stage at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 (JMS 2025). Among the debutants at said motor show include the new and radical Toyota Corolla concept, as well as the world premiere of the new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ Concept.

This rugged off-road SUV marks a bold symbol in Toyota’s pursuit to blend its heritage of durability with forward-looking innovation, including the electrified hybrid powertrain that will be used in the actual production model.

Speaking of production, Toyota has also confirmed that the regional production of the Land Cruiser FJ will take place in Thailand, thus indirectly confirming the arrival of this rugged SUV into the Southeast Asia regional market.

Besides the new metals and concepts, JMS 2025 also saw Toyota announcing the future product roadmap for the ASEAN region. Key highlights include the introduction of over 10 new electrified (xEV) models in the next three years, local battery EV (BEV) production in Thailand and Indonesia by the end of this year, and the “30 by 30 Mission” targeting 30% xEV sales in ASEAN by 2030.

Back at the local base, UMWT is celebrating its positive sales record by extending its special promotions, where selected Toyota models are entitled to rebates worth up to RM8,000, plus additional deals by the dealer to make these models more affordable for Malaysians.
