Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) is taking another step toward strengthening its presence in the country, this time through a renewed partnership with Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad (EON).
Both parties have inked a Letter of Intent (LOI), laying the groundwork for a refreshed collaboration aimed at expanding Hyundai’s retail footprint and enhancing the overall customer experience in Malaysia.

Under the agreement, HMY and EON will jointly develop two new dealerships in the Klang Valley and Penang. Scheduled to open in the first half of 2026, these locations were selected for their strong growth potential, rising interest in Hyundai’s models, and increasing adoption of hybrid technology.
The new outlets will bring sales and aftersales services closer to major communities while strengthening customer confidence through more consistent nationwide touchpoints.
The partnership also positions Hyundai to reach new customer segments and support Malaysia’s move toward smarter, safer and more sustainable mobility. Over the next few years, the brand plans to build a more robust ecosystem by broadening its network and elevating service standards.

Hyundai Motor Malaysia Managing Director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen said, “This collaboration is more than just adding new outlets. It’s about strengthening trust and delivering long-term value to Malaysians. We appreciate EON for coming onboard—their established presence and experience in the automotive sector make them a strong and reliable partner.”
She added that by combining Hyundai’s global innovation with EON’s local expertise, the partnership will deliver better access, better service and a network that evolves with customer needs.

EON CEO Akkbar Danial said the collaboration aligns with EON’s ambition to contribute to Malaysia’s mobility future. “Guided by our principle ‘Passion Drives Possibilities’, we welcome Hyundai into our portfolio and look forward to delivering even greater value to our customers,” he said.
With EON’s nationwide reach and Hyundai’s global strengths, both companies aim to build a partnership that enhances the customer experience and solidifies Hyundai’s position in Malaysia.
