Stellantis-backed Chinese EV marque Leapmotor closed Nov 2025 on a high as it surpassed its initial sales targets of 500,000 units worldwide.

Stellantis-backed Chinese upstart electric vehicle (EV) brand Leapmotor recently revealed that it closed its Nov 2025 sales on a high. By end of last month, the marque shifted 70,327 units globally, marking a massive 75% year-on-year (YoY) increase, in fact.

Moreover, between Jan to Nov, the automaker has successfully shifted 536,132 vehicles in total – both domestically across China and abroad. This marks an even bigger 113% YoY jump and, critically, the feat sees the firm surpass its target to shift 500,000 units in 2025 alone.

According to brand founder and CEO Zhu Jiangming, the marque’s confidence is supported by its expanding portfolio. Key to which is the brand’s “3C” line-up, which consists of the C11, C10 and C16. Said trio maintained strong sales throughout 2025 to outperform its 2024 sales.

Delivering stable volumes too were the brand's T03 EV city car and new wave of “B-series models” that consists of the B01 and B10. The latter was just launched locally in Malaysia and is widely touted for local assembly (CKD) at the Stellantis assembly plant in Gurun, Kedah sometime in 2026.

Besides that, Zhu also noted that the latest Leapmotor Lafa 5 – called the B05 overseas - achieved the brand’s highest conversion rate from pre-orders to confirmed sales to date. Other strong performers include the D19, which recorded strong domestic bookings in China.

Collectively, the current range of Leapmotor products are expected to chart a total sales of close to 600,000 units this year alone. Looking ahead, Zhu also reportedly disclosed the brand’s renewed focus to shift up to 1 million vehicles in 2026.

The executive added that the Leapmotor brand’s success came despite a challenging year, which also saw demand across Nov and Dec weakened, partly due to colder weather and the end of a 5-year government subsidy programme in China that saw vehicle prices increased by roughly RMB10,000.

Nevertheless, Zhu stressed that established models like the T03 plus both B- and C-series offerings will continue to yield incremental growth in sales throughout 2026. New products, on the other hand, are projected to contribute between 300,000 to 400,000 units too.

As for overseas sales, the Leapmotor brand has expanded in footprint on this front. Critically, overseas exports and sales are also poised to support the marque’s 1 million units growth targets in 2026 too.
