Cops Probe Viral Reckless Driving Incident In Genting

A 27-year-old Honda CR-Z driver lost control of his vehicle while driving up Genting Highlands, resulting in a skid and crash. The driver filed a police report at 11:05 a.m. yesterday, and Bentong police chief Zaiham Kahar confirmed that they are investigating the incident, which they believe was caused by irresponsible driving.
Zaiham stated that the investigation was initiated after a TikTok video of the same car driving recklessly and endangering other drivers before the accident was widely circulated.
The short video showed the blue CRZ speeding around a roundabout before the driver lost control and crashed into the opposite side of the road. Luckily, no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
“The actions of the driver endangered other road users,” he said, adding that the driver had been summoned to give his statement.
The case is being probed under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act for reckless and dangerous driving. If found guilty, the driver could face severe penalties, including fines, imprisonment, and the suspension or revocation of their driving license.
Genting Highlands, one of Malaysia's most well-known tourist destinations, is renowned for its difficult driving conditions. That's precisely why dangerous drivers and adrenaline addicts enjoy pushing the car to the limit on these hills.

But keep in mind that these roads are winding and difficult for those who are unfamiliar with them. You must slow down because there are a lot of steep inclines and sharp twists.
