LEPAS Confirms 20-Outlets Ahead of 2026 Malaysia Launch

LEPAS Malaysia as it prepares for its Malaysian debut has announced an aggressive network expansion plan, confirming that it will establish 20 sales and service outlets across the country ahead of its official market entry in the first half of the year.
The network will span key markets in both Peninsular and East Malaysia, with a longer-term target of 30 outlets by the end of 2026.
The move signals a clear intent to build scale quickly, ensuring nationwide coverage from the outset rather than a phased, city-by-city rollout. It also reflects lessons drawn from LEPAS’ recent global milestones, including the opening of its first-ever showroom in Jakarta, Indonesia, which marked the brand’s international debut.

Malaysia will receive a full three-model SUV lineup, comprising the L4, L6 and flagship L8. All are underpinned by Chery Group’s new global New Energy Vehicle platform, designed to support a wide range of vehicle sizes and multiple powertrain options, including internal combustion, hybrid and fully electric configurations.
While powertrain details for Malaysia have yet to be finalised, the platform flexibility mirrors what was showcased in Indonesia, where LEPAS positioned itself as a premium NEV brand with a strong technology and lifestyle focus.
Design remains central to the LEPAS identity. Built around what the brand calls Leopard Aesthetics, Exquisite Space and Elegant Driving, LEPAS is positioning elegance as a universal design language rather than a market-specific theme.

According to Men Lin Bo, Executive VP of Chery Corporate Malaysia, the brand is aimed at buyers who expect their vehicle to reflect both lifestyle and personal taste. He added that the early rollout of the dealer network is meant to ensure Malaysian customers experience LEPAS not just through product, but through consistent service and ownership standards from day one.
Beyond dealerships, LEPAS has also confirmed plans to introduce its Lifestyle Experience Center in the Klang Valley similar to what was previewed in Jakarta, where the showroom was positioned as more than a retail space, blending vehicle displays with curated lifestyle zones and brand storytelling.
With network expansion now underway and a 2026 launch window locked in, we are excited to see how LEPAS positions itself within Chery Group Malaysia’s portfolio, which already includes Chery, Omoda, Jaecoo and iCaur.
How clearly LEPAS can carve out its own space will be closely watched…
