Inside, a knitted textile dashboard and 240 mm circular OLED running MINI OS 9. Physical controls are deliberately reduced, but the key driving functions stay on the toggle bar.

The centre is organised around a floating storage area beneath the start, gear, parking brake and Experience Mode toggles. The open layout frees useful storage underneath instead of using a bulky transmission tunnel.

Rather than a separate binnacle, the 240 mm OLED integrates instruments, navigation and infotainment, backed by a head-up display. Essential speed and assistance data remain in the driver's eyeline.

Occupants get comfort or sport seats with Vescin/textile upholstery, electric adjustment and heating by grade. The low driving position and generous adjustment suit the model's sporting brief.

Cabin practicality is generous front and rear room for five, with a sliding rear bench on selected versions. This is clearly the intimate MINI EV, not a substitute for the larger Aceman or Countryman Electric.

The driver uses multifunction audio, voice, cruise and assistance controls. The compact rim and direct rack help the car feel alert around town.

Everyday items fit into large door bins, open console storage, glovebox and flexible rear seatbacks. There is no large traditional centre armrest bin, so organisation is best for smaller belongings.

Drink storage consists of two central front cupholders and rear door bottle holders. The arrangement is adequate for two front occupants but limited for rear passengers.

Device power is handled by front/rear USB-C outlets and wireless phone charging. Cable-free phone charging integrates neatly with the circular-display interface.

Cabin execution features sturdy SUV doors, precise trim alignment and tactile textile surfaces give it a more substantial feel than smaller MINIs. The woven dash surface is distinctive, though the sparse layout depends heavily on the central screen.

Luggage capacity is 460 litres, expanding to approximately 1,450 litres with the rear seats folded. The load lip is manageable, but this remains weekend-bag rather than family-holiday space.

Core active-safety hardware includes ABS, stability control, traction control, tyre-pressure monitoring and hill-start assistance. These systems operate alongside regenerative braking rather than replacing driver attention.

Passive protection comprises multiple airbags, ISOFIX points and a strong passenger safety cell. The compact rear bench is best suited to two occupants and includes proper child-seat anchors.

Experience Modes coordinate throttle, steering, graphics, lighting and synthetic sound themes. Each mode changes more than throttle response, also reshaping the OLED theme and cabin soundscape.

AEB, lane warning, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise and Parking Assistant Plus are offered according to Malaysian trim. Exact availability must be matched to the Malaysian variant rather than assumed across the range.

Sound is model-specific: upper Countryman specifications use a 12-speaker, 365-watt Harman Kardon surround system; entry audio output varies by grade. This is materially different from quoting a generic unbranded speaker setup.

Countryman C makes 156 hp and 230 Nm from a 1.5-litre turbo; S ALL4 produces 201 hp and 300 Nm from a 2.0-litre turbo; JCW ALL4 reaches 300 hp and 400 Nm. These figures keep the three MINI Electric versions clearly separated.

Drive reaches the wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic across the petrol range. Immediate torque makes the car feel brisk in stop-start traffic.

Claimed acceleration is version-specific: 0-100 km/h takes about 9.0 seconds in C, 7.1 seconds in S ALL4 and 5.4 seconds in JCW. The JCW is meaningfully quicker, not merely a styling package.

Energy use and range centre on WLTP combined use spans roughly 6.1 to 8.3 L/100 km, depending on engine and wheel size. Real Malaysian motorway range will fall with speed, heat, passengers and aggressive climate use.

dedicated rear centre vents and USB-C charging improve second-row comfort. In hot weather, directing the outer front vents rearward helps cool the compact cabin more quickly.

Ride character reflects the sporty chassis: the longer wheelbase rides maturely, with firmer responses on JCW suspension and 20-inch wheels. The E and SE on smaller wheels are the more forgiving choices.

good body sealing keeps wind low; the JCW's exhaust and broad tyres are deliberately more vocal. Wind sealing is good for a small frameless-door hatch, but the quiet powertrain exposes surface noise that an engine would mask.
