MINI Countryman Electric

The 2024 MINI Countryman Electric is a five-seat electric compact SUV that concentrates MINI's go-kart character into a zero-emission package. Its Malaysian range covers distinct outputs and batteries, so buyers can prioritise price, range or performance without confusing it with the Aceman or Countryman Electric.

Inside, a textile-covered dashboard focused on the 240 mm circular OLED display. Physical controls are deliberately reduced, but the key driving functions stay on the toggle bar.

The centre is organised around a floating centre arrangement with the gear, start, parking brake and Experience Mode toggles. The open layout frees useful storage underneath instead of using a bulky transmission tunnel.

Rather than a separate binnacle, the 240 mm OLED carries speed, range, navigation and vehicle menus, with a head-up display. Essential speed and assistance data remain in the driver's eyeline.

Occupants get five seats with supportive fronts, electric adjustment, memory and heating according to specification. The low driving position and generous adjustment suit the model's sporting brief.

Cabin practicality is the roomiest electric MINI, with adult-friendly rear legroom, headroom and a flat floor. This is clearly the intimate MINI EV, not a substitute for the larger Aceman or Countryman Electric.

The driver uses multifunction controls for media, voice, adaptive cruise and assistance systems. The compact rim and direct rack help the car feel alert around town.
