UMW Toyota Feb 2024 Sales Totals At 7,480 Units

Feb 2024 proved to be a busy month for leading automaker Toyota in the Malaysian market. In a press release issued earlier today, UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) revealed that it shifted no less than 7,480 vehicles in total last month.
Said figure encompasses both Toyota and Lexus vehicle sales combined, the former holding the lion share at 7,347 units whilst the latter premium marque saw 133 units shifted. With said figures, UMWT’s year-to-date (YTD) total sales figures has risen to 13,756 units.
Feb 2024 also saw UMWT hosting its Beyond Zero mini-expo at Technology Park Malaysia that showcased its HEV, BEV, and Hydrogen FCEV zero-emissions technologies.


A slew of vehicles were shown for the first time in Malaysia like the Alphard and Vellfire Hybrid (HEV), plus the latest-gen Prius.
Vehicle sales aside, UMWT saw its Feb 2024 headlined by its ‘Beyond Zero’ mini expo held at Technology Park Malaysia. The event showcased much of the automaker’s zero-emissions tech, namely hybrids (HEVs), battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and hydrogen fuel cell (FCEVs).
A slew of vehicles were also showcased for the first time in Malaysia at the same event. Included were the latest-gen Prius, Alphard and Vellfire HEV, as well as the Hilux BEV and Hilux Hydrogen FCEV concepts, amongst many.
Previewed at Beyond Zero too was the Lexus RZ450e luxury EV crossover SUV that's set to launch later this year.
Crucially, UMWT also took the opportunity to give visitors an early preview of a new Lexus model set to enter the local market this year – the Lexus RZ450e. other upcoming new models shown here too included the bZ4X and Camry Hybrid.
Entering March, UMWT is expected to see continued sales growth. The firm already kicked off the month by announcing the availability of the newly updated Toyota Hiace Panel Van model. Following which, the firm also announced a new customer campaign this month.
This month, UMWT also has special deals abound for purchases of the Yaris hatch and new Vios sedan.
The latter, called “Journey of Reflection”, includes 100% financing offer on selected models, up to RM5,500 savings for purchases of the Yaris hatch, as well as monthly instalment rates as low as RM688 for the new Vios sedan.
At the same time, UMWT is also offering the Toyota Service Savers program to customers this month. This further offers customers with convenient monthly installments starting from as low as RM18. More details on which are available online via its official website.
