- Bentley Mulliner’s Expansion With The New Bentley Bentayga
Bentley Mulliner expands its bespoke craftsmanship, with the addition of the new Bentley Bentayga SUV to its Personal Commissioning Guide.
Clientele of Bentley Mulliner’s Personal Commissioning Guide are spoiled with a range of choices for their Bentaygas. For example, bespoke hide colours, painted veneers, personalised interior stitching and tweed trimmed door inserts, those are just a few of the unique configurations offered.
Moreover, the Mulliner treatment also extends Bentley’s already large default colour hues by an additional 26 more paint palette that includes solids, metallic and satin textures. Expertise from hand spraying techniques to the latest robotic technology enables a top-notch finish on each vehicle.
In order to create a distinctive colour split, personalised interiors for the bespoke Bentaygas can be selected from an extensive range of 27 hide and stitching colours. Also, the design includes options of up to three colour combinations from the range.
Other than that, customers are also given the option to add further extra touches to their Bentley Bentayga. In terms of adding a name, motif or crest, various aspects of the car can be tailored to display the customer’s specific desires.
Expanding on that option is embroidery on the seats and deep pile overmats, a name of choice on the outer illuminated sill plates and personalised text or imagery on the passenger dash panel which comes in a satin finish for added luxury.
The Personal Commissioning Guide from Mulliner also provides additional colour intonations to enhance the Bentayga’s interior cabin’s atmosphere. This is done through seat piping, carpet binding and hand cross-stitching.
Each process to hand cross stitching a Bentayga cabin takes one craftsperson 44 hours to complete. It uses special thread that has been designed to be extremely durable and uses special dyes to maintain its colour to last for the lifespan of the vehicle.
As for owners who enjoy a more sporting interior theme for their Bentayga, the optional Alcantara seat centres, headrests and door inserts are also available to create an exquisite, tactile finish. Plus, for even more sporting ambience, Alcantara can be applied to the steering wheel and gear lever.
Adding to the Bentayga’s sophistication are personalised ‘Welcome Lamps’, which project a custom image on the floor when each door is opened, accurately recreating a graphic, logo, image or word in pin-sharp light.
Personalised to every inch possible, the Bentayga’s key fob can also be customised with a name or image that can be added to one side of the surface.
To further emphasize on the luxuriousness of the Bentayga, the team at Mulliner has worked with a traditional textile mill to produce a bespoke, natural wool cloth akin to that in a fine tailored suit. The collaboration has resulted in four striking woven cloth patterns, each featuring exclusive yarn colours.
Continuing the design harmony, four different tweeds are made available. They are Cheltenham, with its countryside greens, Glen Plaid–Tolsta Beach, with its bold checkered pattern, and Charcoal and Sand Herringbone tweeds that complement dark and light interiors respectively.
There is a distinctive interior feature for each customer as the Mulliner treatment offers a wide range of veneer options that will alter the interior of each new Bentayga. From more traditional wood cross-banding, to painted veneers and contemporary stone dashboards.
Offered for the Bentayga’s contemporary stone fascias are four different stone colours, Autumn White, Copper, Galaxy or Terra Red. All in which are made available to complement a range of interiors.
Bentley’s new Bentayga reintroduces Cross Banding Inlays as an option for the fascia and waist-rail inserts. The Cross Banding uses Australian straight grain veneer with a boxwood inlay and is enhanced with a Bentley Mulliner overlay in either a silver or gold colour.
With this option, Bentley Mulliner is able to match all of the interior veneered areas to any of the colours from the Standard, Extended and Bentley Mulliner exterior paint hues, or the interior hide shades. The painted veneers come in 103 extensive lists of colours.
In accordance to that, the Mulliner’s treatment now offers an open pore satin finish to their existing veneer coats, Liquid Amber, Dark Burr Walnut and Tamo Ash. Each layer is applied by hand and sanded between applications to highlight the authentic, natural colour and texture of the wood species.
Abiding to the new norm, with all of these customizations available, Bentley Mulliner’s clientele are able to design their Bentley Bentayga with their very own personal options virtually, which is from the use of the Mulliner Visualiser that is in conjunction with their local retailer.
