Steering in extra sporting dexterity with striking design cues and unique detailing to the Bentayga family, Bentley presents the new Bentayga S.

By reflecting on feedback from many patrons, an S version of the Bentayga is now part of the line-up and is the latest iteration of Bentley’s benchmark, go-anywhere luxury SUV.

Overall, the new Bentayga S’ youthful and robust yet muscular silhouette paired with Bentley’s enhanced sporty performance truly reflects a profoundly dynamic driving experience.

Taking a detailed look, the exterior portrays a stylish and purposeful design in equal measure, where the sporting nature of the Bentayga S is visible from every angle.

Amplifying the Bentayga’s existing striking presence, the ‘S’ version comes with Blackline specs fitted as standard to all exterior contours, matched with black door mirrors and black-painted side sills.

Gawking at its front, these features can be seen enhanced by dark tint finishing to the headlights and elliptical taillights, together with new high gloss black on the lower bumper grilles.

Flipping to the rear end, a larger rear spoiler on the Bentayga S extends the roofline in profile while providing increased aerodynamic stability at high speeds.

Then, tilting lower, the bottom half of the tailgate can be seen complemented by black painted, split oval, sport exhaust tailpipes, and unique exterior trim specific badging.

Panning around the side profile, aside from the ‘S’ badges positioned on the lower edge of the front doors, the Bentayga S also rides on a set of 22-inch wheels.

Uniquely new, the 22-inch wheel style is ingenious as it mirrors the centre line of the vehicle, ensuring that the scythes-like spokes point in the same direction on both sides of the car.

Made available in three finishes, the silver hue is standard, while the full gloss black or black and bright polished are optional.

Transitioning inside, the interior features a luxuriously refined cabin with a unique Bentayga S styling that differentiates it from the rest of the family.

Found inside are new seats, unique stitching, a new colour split and Alcantara upholsteries, reflecting the striking exterior and increasing the dynamic ability.

For the former, Bentley’s sector-defining and market-leading luxury SUV features a new fluted seat design that comes in four, five and seven-seat configurations.

Second, the unique stitching of the modern seat design provides a more sporting aesthetic with clean, simple stitch lines through the shoulder areas.

Plus, the new stitching further defines the fluting that can be matched with either the primary or secondary hide colour, which combines with the Alcantara elements.

Moreover, to complete the new in-cabin overall aesthetics, the seat backrests are finished with an embroidered ‘S’ motif.

Speaking of which, ‘S’ badges can also be found on the passenger fascia as well as new graphics in the driver’s instrument panel and illuminated tread plates, which symbolises the model’s trim.

As for the latter, the colour split applies Alcantara across the seat cushions, backrest centre panels, gear lever, steering wheel, upper trim and headlining, creating a sporty yet luxurious interior.

Technology-wise, the Bentayga S shares a fully digital driver’s information panel with the Bentayga Speed, with pronounced dial graphics that take influence from high-end chronographs.

The display brings a contemporary look to the cockpit in which it’s customisable to the driver’s preferences and features real-time lighting effects with elegant animations.

Its high-resolution instrument cluster screen can be viewed in two modes, either a Classic or an Expanded format.

In Classic, the display shows the traditional two-dial design of the speedometer and tachometer. Whereas, in Expanded, the right dial is replaced with an area for maps and media information.

Performance-wise, the Bentayga S harbours Bentley’s renowned 4.0-litre, twin-scroll turbocharged V8 petrol engine that generates 542 bhp (550 PS) of power and 770 Nm of torque.

Hitting a top speed of 290 km/h, the Bentayga S dashes from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and has a range of 654 km, with CO2 emissions of 294 g/km.

Deploying the power as effectively as possible, the Bentley Dynamic Ride (BDR) is fitted as standard, which features an electric active roll control technology that utilises an unrivalled 48V system.

Said system has a reaction time of 0.3 seconds with up to 1,300 Nm of torque to counteract lateral rolling forces when cornering.

Thus, ensuring the Bentayga S to have maximum tyre contact that delivers class-leading cabin stability, ride comfort and exceptional handling.

Furthermore, the Bentayga S also pushes the boundaries of grand touring comfort while boasting an engaging performance through the new chassis mode selection.

The Bentayga S now comes equipped with an increased capability through an enhanced SPORT mode over a standard Bentayga.

Under ‘SPORT’ mode, improved steering feel, greater turn-in response, and minimal body-roll are feasible due to a 15 percent increase in air suspension damping and a unique ESC and BDR tune.

That 15 percent increase in damping stiffens the chassis and provides a platform for more dynamic driving under ‘SPORT’ mode for the Bentayga S.

Re-tuning Bentley’s Torque Vectoring by brake system in which the car lightly brakes the inside rear wheel at corners to sharpen the front axle turn-in has also made the drive more responsive.

Off-road abilities remain, with the optional All-Terrain specs bringing four thrilling off-road modes, Snow and Wet Grass, Dirt and Gravel, Mud and Trail, and Sand, along with a 500 mm wading depth.

Other than that, a newly designed sports exhaust is included as standard, which lends a more sporting growl through the free-flowing primary and secondary pipes.

It enhances the flow and combined with reduced perforations in the muffler, delivering greater character and volume, giving the Bentayga S a more boosted performance-oriented feel.

All in all, the new-fangled Bentley Bentayga S model delivers a head-turning presence through its refined aesthetics while also boasting heightened agility through its performance.
