Exhilarating Performance And Driving Dynamics, The Jaguar XF Debuts In Bond’s ‘No Time To Die’
Filmed in Matera, Southern Italy, the Jaguar XF demonstrated its exceptional performance by making a debut in a thrilling chase sequence in the new Bond film, ‘No Time To Die’.
Renowned for its unrivalled blend of ride, handling and refinement, two XF saloons weaved through the narrow, twisting city streets, driving across piazzas and down cobbled steps in pursuit of 007.
No Time To Die’s special effects and action vehicle supervisor, Chris Corbould, remarked, “The Jaguar XF was an exciting choice for this high-intensity car sequence. We always look to push the boundaries to extreme limits in our stunts, and this extends to the capabilities of the vehicles too. There is no compromise with this particular scene. There were only inches to spare in the narrow alleyways and no margin for error, the XF shows its performance and driving dynamics.”
Performance-wise, the XF’s 2.0L engine churns with a maximum power of 204 PS (201 hp) at 3,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 430 Nm at 1,750 to 2,500 rpm.
Mated to an 8-speed transmission setup, it leaps with a maximum speed of 235 km/h and dashes from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
The XF's all-wheel-drive system with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics delivers incredible levels of performance and traction on the low-grip surfaces.
Its lightweight aluminium-intensive architecture and advanced suspension design enable exceptional rear-wheel-drive handling and agility together with outstanding ride, comfort and refinement.
On another note, being a Jaguar, there is no doubt that the XF’s overall appearance is phenomenal to say the least.
Gazing at the front end, it just oozes with dynamism as it boasts smoothly defined hood contours that are paired to a set of slim, focused and sharply angulated headlights.
Adding to its sinister outlook, Jaguar’s all-black trademark grille commands the center and is flanked by a large pair of rectangular-shaped air vents.
Flipping to the back, it portrays a sleek and elegant yet sporty layout. The headlights match the front and are complemented with a slim edge to edge, black lower bumper diffuser.
Pricing-wise, the Jaguar XF saloon is priced from GBP 33,975 (RM 193,853) in the UK. To configure and place orders online or book a test drive, visit www.jaguar.com.
Jaguar’s brand director, Anna Gallagher, concluded, “The Jaguar XF is a car designed to tackle any journey with an unrivalled balance of luxury, comfort and refinement. Whether it’s a high-speed pursuit through twisting streets and piazzas of Southern Italy, where the car filmed its ‘No Time To Die’ chase sequences, or the bustling streets of London, the XF really is a car for every occasion.”
