- Pushing Hybrid Power to FIAT New 500X & Tipo
Listed as top 10 most cramped up car vehicles, FIAT introduced its 500X Hybrid known among car enthusiasts seeking a unique and ideal Utility Vehicle that first launched in 2014 previously.
In line with FIAT’s target to achieve a fully electric line-up in the future, the company added the Tipo Hybrid model to be part of the journey.
“The FIAT journey toward electrification continues. With the launch of the new 500X Hybrid and Tipo Hybrid, equipped with new 48-Volt Hybrid technology, the FIAT range is now fully electrified.
“Our journey toward sustainable mobility for all continues, with the aim – as I have previously announced – to launch a new vehicle every year, starting as soon as in 2023. Each model will have an electric motor, to achieve a fully electric line-up from 2027.” stated Fiat CEO and Stellantis CMO, Olivier Francois.
“It's only green when it's green for all.” he added. The company’s vision toward sustainable mobility is recognized by its new powertrain DNA consisting of a new-generation FireFly engine on a 4-cylinder 1.5-litre gasoline turbo, transmitting 130 hp with 240 Nm torque power and 7-speed DCT.
Tipo put out an acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in just 9 seconds meanwhile 500X sets at 9.4 seconds. The hybrid features enable these vehicles to get into a (e-launch), (e-queueing), and (e-parking) driving state.
More to that, these models are improved with its new 48-Volt Hybrid Technology and 15-kW e-motor. Prior to its response towards global issues, the hybrid is adorned in a concept collaboration with (RED) as a gesture to combat COVID-19 pandemic disease.
An idealistic vehicle with incorporated “500” logo at its front area alongside “FIAT” lettering for more contemporary design put a fresh look to its new model. compared to 500 and Panda, the car marque includes “Hybrid” on the tailgate looking more vivid and clear as a technological transformation of its engine.
Safety aspects for these hybrids include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS, Adaptive High Beam, Blind Spot Assist and Autonomous Emergency Brake as part of it.
The 500X Hybrid offers two body variants – Hatchback and Dolcevita. The line-up includes 1.0 GSE T3 120-HP FWD, 1.3 95-HP MULTIJET and 1.6 130-HP MULTIJET II engines and available in Cult, Club, Cross along with Sport trim levels.
Meanwhile Tipo Hybrid fits in four trim levels – Tipo, City, Life, City Cross, and Cros. Offering an opt of 100hp 1.0 T3 gasoline, a 1.3 SDE 95-hp diesel, and 130-hp 1.6 diesel engine for its line-up.
