This tuned Brabus Mercedes-AMG G63 pick-up truck has 900 HP!
Mercedes-Benz tuners Brabus are at it again, showing off this custom Mercedes-AMG G63 pick-up truck build this time round. Aptly, this custom build, christened as the P900 Rocket, is not for the faint-hearted, and not just because of the tremendous power outputs the tuner has managed to squeeze out of it.
Starting with the powertrain, this build sees Brabus enlarging the base G63’s V8 mill from 4.0-litre to 4.5-litre thanks to increased bore and stroke plus new forged pistons and custom billet crank. The turbochargers were upgraded too, and paired with new injection, ignition, and boost pressure control mappings.
The result sees this mill now output a whopping 900 HP – 315 HP more than stock. The mill is also capable of generating a gravity-defying 1,250 NM of torque, but Brabus chose to limit it to ‘just’ 1,050 NM. In typical Brabus fashion, the powertrain is finished off with a new high-performance exhaust system that delivers an angrier soundtrack to match.
As for performance, Brabus claims this G63-based P900 Rocket is able to sprint from standstill to 100 KM/H in just 3.7 seconds whilst enroute towards an electronically-limited top speed of 280 KM/H. These performance stats are indeed impressive, especially after considering the fact that it weigh a hefty 2,720kg.
For those wondering, Brabus chose to underpin the P900 Rocket on its XLB pick-up, which was then converted to the G63. It sports a steel truck bed frame with carbon bed-sides. Brabus also dressed it with a widebody kit, extending its width by 100mm.
Other visual add-ons include an integrated front spoiler, a hood cowl, fender flares, rear diffuser, and a roof-mounted wing amongst many. Next comes the 24-inch wheels it rolls on, which are Brabus’s very own Monoblock Z Platinum Edition design.
The example featured sees Brabus finishing things off with a Rocket Grey paint scheme, but customers can order theirs in any hue.
Evidently, this shade of grey contrasts with the truck’s strikingly bold interior scheme, which sees black leather interior with red accents. Red-finished trims are also present throughout the truck on the speaker surrounds, vents, and switches, as well as carbon trim panels and bits.
Just 10 units of this Brabus P900 Rocket pick-up truck will be built, each commanding an equally sizable price tag too - €649,638 (approx. RM2.92 million).
