Federal Auto Cars would be the first Volvo dealer to be certified as the Volvo Certified Damage Repair (VCDR) centre by Volvo Car Malaysia. This certification was granted on 7 September 2022 at the Federal Auto Cars’ Volvo dealership at Glenmarie.

Under the VCDR programme, Volvo ensures higher quality and standards are achieved in the structural repair of Volvo vehicles. This is achieved through investment in modern technology, equipment, processes coupled with proper training of its people. The VCDR centres also place great emphasis on sustainability by reducing the emission of microscopic particles and energy consumption during all repair works.

Volvo Car Corporation and Federal Auto Cars collaborated to design the VCDR facility in order to create an optimal layout with high operational efficiency. With a total floor area of 10,586 square feet, our facility is outfitted with world-class solutions for spray booths, vehicle alignment, welding, and premium paint finish.

The spray booths used at the VCDR are the PIVAB spray booths which optimise the heated air flow using automatic controls and monitoring systems resulting in low power consumption while increasing the level of ventilation. All paint products used are water-based and are supplied by Glasurit. Water-based paint is said to reduce the emission of microscopic particles to the environment, all while maintaining the superior finishing to the body of Volvo vehicles.

The Federal Auto Cars VCDR also comes equipped with the latest Car-O-Liner body alignment and straightening system, which meets Volvo’s standards on repair quality together with an array of other speciality tools to ensure your Volvo receives the best body and paint treatment.

Being a part of the Volvo VCDR program, Federal Auto Cars’ ensures that only genuine Volvo parts will be used throughout the repair process of your Volvo car.

Ms. Wong Fay Lee, Chairman of Federal Auto Holdings Berhad “Being an integral part of the Volvo network in Malaysia, we are committed towards delivering excellent service quality and safe vehicles to our Volvo customers through our investment and continuous improvement of every aspect of our operations. In today’s environment, we place as much if not more emphasis on climate sustainability in our business strategies and decisions. We, therefore, wholeheartedly embrace the VCDR concept for its environmentally-friendly equipment, as well as efficient work-flow and processes."

From now until 31 December, customers choosing to use the VCDR’s Body Paint Specials would enjoy up to 30% off. For more information on the Federal Auto Cars VDCR in Glenmarie, call +6016 – 248 0878.
