KL Cops Issued 372 Summonses During New Year's Eve Operation

On New Year's Eve, a total of 26 roadblocks were conducted throughout the city. According to Deputy Comm Datuk Yahaya Othman, the deputy police chief of Kuala Lumpur, police issued 372 summonses for various offences and impounded 10 motorcycles for having unlawful modifications. "619 motorbikes, 171 automobiles, 19 vans, and 32 jeeps all underwent inspections.


"We also checked on 848 road users," he stated following the special operation on Sunday (Jan 1). According to him, 12 motorbike riders aged 15 to 21 were apprehended for riding dangerously. "Four other people were also apprehended for driving under the influence of alcohol," he continued.
