Citroën Brings Three New Pod Concepts For Autonomous Skateboard
During the most recent Auto Shanghai 2023, Citroen unveiled three new pod concepts for autonomous skateboards that highlights on offering customers with a cozy, fun or gourmet commuting experience. The Wander Café, Immersive Air, and Cosy Capsule are all a part of an all-electric skateboard platform that rolls autonomously to feed the concept.
Now that the French automaker requested its Chinese subsidiary to develop trio concepts for the said auto show, the first capsule is intended for just two passengers which seeks to wrap occupants in comfort and tranquillity.
Cozy Capsule 1
The Cozy Capsule, which is inspired by French perfume bottles, features a crystal exterior shell on a stone-like base added with a cork belt and a leafy Mohawk.
Meanwhile, on the Inside, the crystal shell houses an orange glow and an eggshell-shaped seat is fully adjustable. It also may go from an upright seating position to a flat position for laying down as the upper section of the shell designs from translucent to opaque which allows occupants with a little privacy.
Cozy Capsule 2
Notably, opposite of the orange Alcantara seat, there’s a cork bench where it could fit another occupant although elsewhere the capsule features an air purifier, a self-watering hanging plant among other things.
Immersive Air 1

From there, the purple colouring speaks to the late-night vibe that is further amplified by the shimmering trim and the club-like lighting. Whereas the tinted exterior windows obscure the view in, but not the view out, it gives occupants privacy without shutting them out from the city.
Wander Cafe
Last but not least, the final pod is far more suitable for the passengers in the city as the open air Wander Café could carry two passengers. It also offers them a cold dish and beverage tasting experience, while the sounds and sights of the city roll by.
Noted in the absence of a waiter, the pod is made to provide customers with simple access to a variety of self-serve dishes via a screen built into the table.
