1-of-48 Bentley Continental GT Le Mans Collection Lands In Malaysia, Costs Over RM4.54 Million!
We got up-close and personal with a Bentley Continental GT Le Mans Collection unit earlier this week. Limited to just 48 units worldwide, one of which has found a home here in Malaysia!
Earlier this week, CariCarz.com was fortunately invited for a special showcase hosted by Bentley Kuala Lumpur (Wearnes Quest Sdn Bhd) where we got to size up the Bentley Continental GT Le Mans Collection in the flesh.
Announced back in April last year, this special sees Bentley’s famed Mulliner bespoke arm commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Crewe-based marque’s historic win at the 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race.
This limited-run special commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Flying-B marque's win at the 2003 Le Mans 24 Hours Endurance race, and takes inspiration from the Bentley Speed 8 prototype racer that won it.
Just 48 units of the Continental GT Le Mans Collection were planned in both coupe GT and convertible GT-C forms. Now, one of which - specifically a GT coupe version - has found a home right here in Malaysia, and selected local press were given the opportunity to inspect it up close before it was delivered.
Having spent a good two-plus hours exploring it, it’s safe to say that the unnamed local Ultra High Nett Worth Individual (UHNWI) – emphasis on the ‘Ultra’ part here – who secured this unit is certainly getting their money’s worth in owning this one-of-a-kind special, and not just for its rarity either.
Verdant Green paint plus white racing stripe on the hood and roof are all inspired by the Speed 8 racer, as is the #7 painted into the massive front grille.

Unique to this special too are its '24H' badges, 'Blackline Specification' blacked-out accents, and a dash of carbon fibre accents too.
As detailed prior, the Le Mans Collection treatment by Mulliner sees each unit dressed in the same Verdant Green paint donned by the Le Mans-winning Bentley Speed 8 prototype endurance racer. Contrasting which is a white racing stripe running across the hood and roof, as well as subtle tailored pinstripes and ‘24H’ emblems.
Other notable exterior details include Bentley’s signature ‘Blackline Specification’ that treats the exterior accents, 22-inch wheels, and grille in a gloss black finish. The latter even boasts a racy #7 painted into which in white – the same racing number carried by the Speed 8 Le Mans winner. Present here too were several carbon fibre accents, and red-painted brake calipers.
Special door sill plates and trims denotes all six of Bentley's wins at the historic Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race.

The cabin gets the usual posh Bentley treatment, albeit with a racy, monochrome twist for its dual-veneer dash and door inserts, as well as napped Dynamica and hand-cut Beluga leather upholstery with Hotspur contrast stitching.

What truly sets this special apart inside is the housing of the Speed 8's camshaft display plus 24-hour redux of the signature Bentley clockface, both neatly housed in the dash's novel rotating display module.
On board, all Le Mans Collection units proudly displays said Le Mans-winning racecar’s engine valve trough the dash’s sensational and James Bond-esque rotating display module. Whilst here, you’ll also notice a 24-hour redux of the signature Bentley clock face, as well as special door sill plates and trims featuring the six-wreath emblem that denotes the Flying-B marque’s L e Mans wins.
Certainly, these special additions to the cabin only adds a more special flair to an already outstanding ambience. The latter is treated in a combination of signature Bentley furnishings that includes dual-veneer dash and door trims, as well as Beluga hand-cut leather and napped Dynamica seat covers and steering wrap with Hotspur contrast stitching, all presented in a monochrome motif.
Closer inspection reveals that the peppy 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 powertrain also boasts a Bentley-specific Akrapovič exhaust system that promises a mean soundtrack.
As if the special aesthetics detached weren’t enough, said lucky UHNWI who will take delivery of this unit also gains some serious bragging rights thanks to this special’s powertrain. In fact, this is perhaps one of the very last few Continental GTs to adopt Crewe’s signature 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 heart.
Adding to which is the fact that said mill comes straight out of the Continental GT Speed with a higher state-of-tune, delivering whopping outputs of 650 HP and 900 NM. Notable here too is the presence of a Bentley-specific Akrapovič exhaust system, which we reckon enabled the peppier outputs mentioned, and the promise of a mean soundtrack to match.
With its 650 HP and 900 NM outputs managed by a slick ZF 8-speed auto box and trick AWD, this racy special despatches 0-100 KM/H in just 3.6 seconds!
Lurking behind the massive 22-inch wheels are optional carbon ceramic brake rotors. It's also worth noting the presence of AWS and the Bentley Dynamic Ride active air suspension with adaptive dampers that promises enhanced agility too.
Paired with a slick 8-speed ZF automatic box and trick all-wheel-drive (AWD) suite, the package enables 0-100 KM/H sprints despatched in just 3.6 seconds whilst enroute towards a claimed V-Max of 335 KM/H.
Matching said speed is the promise of enhanced control and agility through additions like optional carbon ceramic brakes, variable electronic stability control, all-wheel-steering (AWS), electronic limited-slip diff, as well as the trick Bentley Dynamic Ride three-chamber active air suspension with adaptive dampers.
BONUS FACT: Each Le Mans Collection unit comes with this special scale model of the Speed 8 Le Mans racer presented in a special and signed key box.
Stylishly posh, rapidly fast and, crucially, rare, these traits perhaps explain why this particular Bentley Continental GT Le Mans Collection unit commanded a whopping RM4,540,696 price tag sans insurance and registration costs – inclusive of all optional equipment, import and excise duties, as well as taxes.
Given the fact that the other 47 units of the Le Mans Collection special are all spoken for, the lucky local UHNWI who acquired this special can revel in the fact that it’s the only one of its kind to be offered officially by Bentley Kuala Lumpur.
So what's the cost for this limited-run special? A staggering RM4,540,696!
Whilst this ultimate plaything for the ultra-wealthy is perhaps out of reach for many amongst the masses, the fact that it made landfall locally during what’s renowned to be a transitional phase from ICE cars to EVs in the market is still remarkable feat to say the least.
