- Launched: Suzuki Jimny Rainforest & Black Edition – RM168K & RM171K
The rugged Suzuki Jimny gets two new special variants in Malaysia, namely the Rainforest and Black Editions.
Naza Eastern Motors (Suzuki Cars Malaysia) has updated the Jimny lineup for Malaysia by launching two special editions of this mini off-roader, namely the Rainforest and Black Editions. Both variants feature distinctive design elements with trims and accessories that are intended specifically for the Malaysian market.
Aptly, the Suzuki Jimny Rainforest special edition comes draped in unique green-hued camouflage decal.
Starting with the Rainforest model, this special edition Jimny comes with a unique green-hued camouflage decal that covers its front grille and body panel, as well as both the front and rear mud flaps. This rainforest-inspired decal is complemented by its multi-roof rack, which makes this rugged 4x4 SUV ready for any off-roading adventure in the wilderness.
The camouflage theme continues as we get inside the Jimny Rainforest, as it comes with a matching camo pattern on the inner back door, the rear-view mirror, audio garnish bumper, inside door handle cover, assistant grip cover, carpet floor mat, and the rear quarter box.
Aside from its name-appropriate gloss black body hue, the Jimny Black Edition also comes with several carbon fibre trims.
Moving on to the Jimny Black Edition, it gets the same multi-roof rack as the Rainforest model, plus some carbon finish on its spare tyre, the front grille, as well as the hinges at its tailgate. As its name suggests, the Jimny Black Edition comes standard in a gloss black hue, plus some additional equipment like the door visors and mud flaps.
On board, the Jimny Black Edition gets a noticeably posher cabin compared to the standard Jimny models, thanks to the addition of the inside door handle cover, assistant grip cover, and carpet floor mat. You can also upgrade the standard seat upholstery to posher two-tone Nappa leather ones for free.
Both the Jimny Black Edition and Rainforest special editions boast no performance or mechanical improvements over the standard model.
As expected, both the Jimny Rainforest and Black Edition boast no improvements on the mechanical front, as they are still powered by the same 1.5-litre 4-cyl naturally-aspirated petrol mill capable of producing 101 HP and 138 NM. Said engine is then mated to a 4-speed low-range transfer automatic gearbox and Suzuki’s proprietary ALLGRIP PRO 4WD system, plus an LSD Traction Control braking system.
Both the new Suzuki Jimny Rainforest and Black Edition are now available for booking, with each of them priced at RM168,900 and RM171,900, respectively. You can learn more about these special edition Jimnys by visiting Suzuki Cars Malaysia’s official website or their official social media channels.
