Compared to the Raya holidays of last year, there was a 1.41% decrease in the overall number of traffic accidents.

A Total of 8,862 accidents  were recorded during the op as opposed to 8,989 cases in the previous year. There were 105 fatal accidents out of the total, which is 10% fewer than the 117 cases that were reported in 2023. Meanwhile there were 119 accidental deaths overall, which is less than the 126 that occurred the previous year. Kemalangan-sungai-buloh-km452.jpg

"Motorcycle riders and pillions still recorded the highest deaths at 79 in this Op Selamat, compared to 80 in 2023, Razarudin mentioned asding that failing to maintain a safe distance between vehicles and being too tired or sleepy are two major factors in traffic accidents.

While there was a minor decrease in accidents and fatalities, PDRM issued 292% more summonses than they did during Raya 2023. Yes, 292%, from 29,216 to 114,467 saman, is what you said.
