- Lamborghini V12 Vinyl Records And Technics Turntable Set Unveiled
Now here’s a collaboration we didn’t expect, but one we reckon any avid old school audiophile and analogue format deejays alike can appreciate.
Italian supercars marque Lamborghini have released vinyl records that feature the sounds of its iconic V12 engines from various eras. To match this drop, the Sant’agata-based supercar builders also teamed up with legendary turntable makers Technics to create a matching hardware set.
This collaboration sees these special engine soundtrack vinyl records packaged together with each special edition version of the Technics SL-1200M7B turntable pictured – the Japanese deejay equipment manufacturer’s latest.
The Lamborghini-themed Technics SL-1200M7B turntables feature the Italian marque signature Y-motif in either red, yellow, or green, infamous raging bull crest on the slipmats, and script badge beneath the controls on the right.
Said special hardware is finished in a special ‘livery’ featuring Lamborghini’s trademark Y-themed motif in either red, yellow, or green hues. They also come with special slipmats that bear the marque’s infamous raging bull crest, and its script badge beneath the controls on the right.
Said new special edition Technics turntable are perhaps fitting gear to playback the special vinyl records mentioned that comes with each. Pressed onto these records are the V12 engine sounds from the 400GT, Miura SV, Countach 25 Anniversario, Diablo, Murcielago, and Revuelto.
The vinyl records that comes with each turntable is pressed with the Lamborghini's V12 'greatest hits' featuring the engine sounds of the 400GT, Miura SV, Countach 25 Anniversario, Diablo, Murcielago, and new Revuelto.
No word on how much this Lamborghini-themed turntable costs, but you can bet they command higher prices over the regular Technics SL-1200M7B, which is based off the Technics SL-1200MK7. For reference, we were reliably informed by a local veteran deejay that each of the latter can currently fetch upwards of RM7,500.
It's also unclear how many will be made, but this clearly is a limited-run item, likely limited to just how many vinyl records featuring this V12 ‘greatest hits’ compilation can be pressed. By the way, purchases for which will be limited exclusively online via Technics in selected markets too.
