The long-anticipated commencement of toll collection on Section 11 of the West Coast Expressway (WCE) will begin from July 24, 2024 at 12:01 AM. Drivers will start paying tolls on the 35.5 KM stretch between Taiping Selatan, Trong, and Beruas, which has been toll-free since it first opened on March 12, 2024.

This stretch, inaugurated by the Works Minister, YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, last Novr, represents a crucial segment of the WCE, which spans 233 KM from Banting, Selangor to Taiping Selatan (Changkat Jering), Perak. The introduction of tolls is a necessary step to ensure sustainability and maintenance of this vital transportation artery.

In line with modern advancements, toll collection on Section 11 will be fully electronic. The toll gantry will accept Touch 'N Go cards, Smart Tags (available only at Taiping Selatan and Lekir Toll Plazas), and RFID.

Toll collection will be carried out at two toll plazas: Taiping Selatan and Trong. The visuals below highlights the amount payable depending on the user's entry and exit point. Users are urged to ensure that their e-wallets and Touch 'N Go cards are sufficiently loaded before embarking on their journeys to avoid inconveniences at the toll plazas.

To facilitate a smooth transition, WCE encourages motorists to visit their website or download the WCE App for detailed information on toll rates and payment methods. Should any issues arise, the WCE infoline (1700 81 6600) and email support ([email protected]) are available to assist.
