- Report: Ferrari SF90, 812 Production Ends
European sources are reporting online that Ferrari have ceased production of both the SF90 (left) and 812 (right) models.
European-based sources are reporting online that fabled Italian supercar purveyors Ferrari have ceased production for two of its core models, whilst another is nearing its end. The two offerings out of production now are both the SF90 and 812.
The 812’s end of production is somewhat expected given that the Maranello-rooted supercars marque already revealed its successor in the 12Cilindri. Through which, the prancing horse marque’s 12-cylinder engine legacy is set to continue despite the rise of electric power.

Whilst the regular SF90 goes out of production, the potent and more manic SF90 XX specials remain in production still given that deliveries for which just started.
The 812 stood as Ferrari’s V12 flag-bearer where it was offered in three guises starting with the controversially named 812 Superfast coupe, followed by its 812 GTS open-top twin and later, as a swansong of sorts, a more potent and track-focused 812 Competizione.
As for the mid-engined SF90 Stradale coupe, there’s little fanfare stemming from its retirement, but Ferrari has reportedly begun developing its successor. It is expected to feature an upgraded version of the SF90’s 4.0-litre V8 twin turbo and tri-motor plug-in hybrid (PHEV) setup.
No mentions of the SF90 Spider specifically, though it is assumed that production of this open-top flavour of Ferrari’s manic electrified mid-engined sportscar will also cease soon. The only exception here are the SF90 XX specials, which saw deliveries started recently.
Ferrari’s phase-out of both models corroborates with what it said when revealing its second quarter (Q2) sales prior, whereby the marque noted that both the SF90 and 812 models were reaching “their end of life cycle” stages then.
Locally, Ital Auto Malaysia are only accepting new orders for the 296 and Roma Spider models currently.
These two aside, reports also indicate that the stylish and luxurious Roma model is now in the final stages of its life cycle. Also available in open-top ‘Spider’ guise next to a traditional hard-topped coupe, it remains uncertain how long more it remains in production.
A quick check with local Ferrari importers Ital Auto Malaysia reveals that the firm is now accepting new orders for the Roma Spider and 296 models only. Prospects keen on acquiring an SF90 from the firm can only do so via its Ferrari Approved official pre-owned inventory.
