In conjunction with the Deepavali holiday, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) will add two more electric train service (ETS) coaches for the KL Sentral-Padang Besar route and return trips.

The extra trains will run from October 30 to November 3, with ticket sales beginning at 10 a.m. today, according to a statement released by KTMB yesterday. “These additional trains will offer 630 tickets daily, with a total of 3,150 available, including for business class coaches. “The extra trains are to accommodate high demand during the festive season, and to help reduce traffic congestion as people return to their hometowns,” the statement read.

For seamless transactions, KTMB advised customers to use the KTM Wallet to make payments when purchasing tickets through the KTMB Mobile app or website.
For flexible fares, customers were encouraged to book their travel in advance and purchase their tickets early. Passengers are advised to arrive at the station early as gates close five minutes prior to departure.
