MINI plans to replace "traditional" interior materials with "greener" substitutes for its vehicles. The brand is strengthening its commitment to reducing CO2 emissions going forward with an increasing lineup of vehicles, which includes the recently added Aceman to its lineup of electric vehicles.
By the year 2050, the larger BMW Group hopes to have "a climate-neutral business model over the entire value chain." The automaker even substitutes leather with a substance they call Vescin in an attempt to achieve the goal. MINI made a daring decision that has drawn praise and criticism from owners and enthusiasts alike.

However, one thing is certain: it's distinct from other products on the market, taking cues from cutting-edge design movements outside of the automotive industry.
Another noteworthy feature of the company's latest offering, the Aceman B-segment SUV, which emphasizes a sustainable interior, is the 2D weaving process that produces interior surfaces out of recycled polyester. P90471910-the-mini-concept-aceman-07-2022-600px.jpg

This method is used to create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere on door panels and dashboards. The weaving technique enables the creation of imaginative two-tone designs in which the color of the lower layer peeks through the upper one.
We have grown so accustomed to foam dashboards that we frequently take them for granted. But foam is not particularly eco-friendly. MINI's utilization of 100% recyclable textiles derived from recycled materials is an interesting alternative that demonstrates their commitment to becoming a climate neutral business by 2050.
