Ferrari importers Ital Auto Malaysia officially launched the new Ferrari 12Cilindri flagship 'Super-GT" in SIC earlier today.

Official Ferrari importers Ital Auto Malaysia unwrapped its very latest metal in the form of the new Ferrari 12Cilindri. Both coupe and open-top ‘Spider’ guises of Maranello’s latest flagship ‘super-GT’ offering was introduced by the firm at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) earlier today.

The arrival of the 12Cilindri on Malaysian soil follows up from the model’s regional debut in Bangkok, Thailand last week during the first ever Universo Ferrari event held in the region.

We’ve detailed the 12Cilindri at length from its global debut prior, but perhaps it’s worth refreshing your memory that it succeeds things like the 812 Superfast/GTS and F12Berlinetta. Effectively, it now remains the only V12-engined offering from Ferrari besides the Purosangue.

The successor to the 812 Superfast/GTS and F12Berlinetta continues to present Ferrari's unadulterated atmospheric V12, which now output 819 HP and 678 NM.

Under the hood, the 12Cilindri is arguably one of the last of its kind to pack an unadulterated atmospheric naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 powerplant. Said mill puts out 819 HP and 678 NM to the rear wheels via Ferrari’s trick 8-speed DCT automatic box.

Headlining figures sees 0-100 KM/H dashes done in 2.9 secs for the coupe and 2.95 secs for the slightly heavier Spider model – 1,560 KG versus 1,620 KG respectively. As for V-Max, Ferrari claims that both variants are capable of reaching beyond 340 KM/H.

Powerful heart aside, the 12Cilindri also packs a performance-honed chassis to match. Highlights here include four-wheel independent steering, trick brake-by-wire suite derived from the electrified SF90 and 296 models, carbon ceramic brakes, and more.

For rolling stock, Ferrari elected for 21-inch two-tone units that feature a distinct turbine-like design. Hiding behind which too are carbon ceramic brakes.

As for styling, the 12Cilindri continues to adopt an unmistakable fastback GT silhouette that typically sports both a long front overhang matched with a short rear overhang. Rolling stock, on the other hand, sees 21-inch two-tone wheels featuring turbine-like spoke designs.

Other key styling touches include distinct LED patterns for its DRLs, headlights and taillights, pronounced rear diffuser element integrated into the rear bumper, quad tailpipes, as well as gloss black exterior elements reminiscent of the 60s-era 365 GTB Daytona model.

As far as styling goes, its the usual Ferrari affair of sharp, aerodynamic lines accentuating the classic fastback silhouette.

Moving into the cabin and the 12Cilindri continues to merge racy elements with a layer of modern tech and plush luxuries. As for displays, you’ll find a massive new 15.6-inch digital instrument panel behind the steering wheel, a large 10.25-inch central infotainment unit, and an optional 8.8 inch passenger display mounted in the dash.

Should the symphony of Maranello’s V12 not be enough, there’s the premium 15-speaker Burmester surround audio suite present for occupants to bask in. Naturally, much of the cabin can be customised via a slew of options that include materials like carbon fibre, alcantara, aluminium and more.

On board, it's the usual Ferrari story again where racy style merges with luxe and a dash of tech.

Now on to price and, typically, the 12Cilindri is no bargain to say the least. With minimal options and duties factored in, the 12Cilindri in coupe form starts from a staggering figure of RM4.7 million.

Naturally, added wind-in-hair magic, borne from the Spider variant's added retractable hard top (RHT) that retracts and deploys in just 14 secs up to speeds of 45 KM/H, costs extra. It starts from a much higher RM5.1 million instead.

Whilst the 12Cilindri coupe commands RM4.7 million onwards, the Spider warrants a higher starting price of RM5.1 million onwards instead.

Mind you, said prices does not include either insurance and registration costs, as well as any additional customisation options. What is included though is Ital Auto’s comprehensive 7-year Maintenance package.

So, what would it be folks? This purebred stallion from Maranello? The electrified raging bull from Sant’Agata? Or would you still prefer turbocharged thrills of Gaydon’s prizefighter? Hit the comments below then…
