Chery Malaysia celebrates Malaysian Paralympic medallists at the Paris 2024 games by giving away Omoda E5 and Omoda 5 SUVs.

Chery Malaysia continues its pledge to support Malaysian athletes by celebrating the success of Malaysian Paralympic medallists at the Paris 2024 games with exclusive vehicle delivery. In a special event held yesterday, Chery successfully delivered the Omoda E5 EV SUV to gold medallist Cheah Liek Hou, while silver medallist Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli brought home a new Omoda 5 B-SUV for this achievement.

Powerlifting champion and gold medallist Bonnie Bunyau Gustin, who broke the world record during the Paris games, has also booked the Tiggo 8 Pro but was not able to attend the ceremony.

The special ceremony was attended by dignitaries comprising the Paralympic athletes themselves and their respective families, as well as official representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), including its minister YB Hannah Yeoh, the Paralympic Council of Malaysia, and representatives from Chery Malaysia.

Commenting on this momentous occasion, YB Hannah Yeoh said, "Our Paralympians exemplify the strength and resilience that inspire us all. At Chery, we are honoured to stand beside them in their journey, celebrating their victories and supporting their aspirations.”

Meanwhile, Chery Malaysia vice president Michael Chew said, “We are delighted to host this exclusive delivery of Chery vehicles to Liek Hou and Ziyad, those who had chosen the Omoda E5 and Omoda 5 as their preferred vehicles.”.

This exclusive vehicle delivery to Malaysian Paralympics medallists was part of Chery Malaysia’s pledge in supporting Malaysian athletes for both the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics games, where the automaker previously gave away three Chery Tiggo 7 Pro SUVs to local shuttlers Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia, and Soh Wooi Yik for their bronze medals.

On top of that, Chery also offered the Paris 2024 Olympians and Paralympians an exclusive discount on Chery vehicle purchases, where gold medallists were eligible for a 50% discount on the Tiggo 8 Pro, Omoda E5, and the Omoda 5. Additionally, silver medallists and athletes who had reached the semifinals and finals received a 30% discount, while all athletes who qualified to compete in the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics enjoyed a 15% discount for the same range of Chery vehicles.
