Revealed earlier this week is this new one-off Bugatti Brouillard special pictured.

Making waves online this week ahead of the weekend is the latest ultra-bespoke one-off special from French hypercar marque Bugatti

Christened as the Brouillard, this special is based off the Mistral, and it was birthed by a the firm’s new division dedicated towards the creation of bespoke one-offs as such.

Unlike the Mistral mentioned, which was an open-top speedster (or roadster), the new Brouillard dons a fixed glass roof design instead. Critically, this one-off is reportedly serving as a swansong or curtain call of sorts – it’s reported to be the last standalone Bug’ powered by a W16 mill.

Birthed by Bugatti's new 'Solitaire' coachbuilding arm, the Brouillard is in fact based on the marque's Mistral open-top roadster.

Due for delivery in 2027, it will notably also stand as the first in a line of “hyper-exclusive” one-offs churned out by the firm’s new bespoke division mentioned, which is reportedly called the ‘Solitaire’ coachbuilding division and headed by design chief Frank Heyl.

Through the Brouillard, the Solitaire division is showing how it can cater to such demands whilst operating out of the Bugatti brand’s new global design headquarters in Berlin, Germany.

“There’s not a single panel on the car that is the same as on the Mistral,” says Solitaire head Heyl. He adds that the blank-sheet approach to designing commissions charged under the division enables it to “go very specific” in sating customer demands.

Mechanically, the Brouillard uses the same 8.0-litre W16 quad-turbo mill that powers the Mistral, and could be the last Bugatti model to feature this powertrain.

Mechanically, the Brouillard retains the Mistral base car’s monstrous 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 heart that outputs 1,578 HP (1,600 PS) and 1,600 NM. With this mill, said 99-unit only special holds the crown as world’s fastest open-top roadster with its 453.91 KM/H V-Max.

Expect similar – if not better – performance in this hard-topped one-off derivative of the Mistral, which also retains said base car’s basic body-in-white construction to house the monstrous powertrain detailed in the last para.

Whilst on design still, the Brouillard also sees its design incorporate elements with subtle nods to the brand’s eponymous Veyron hypercar – a nameplate that marks its 20th anniversary this year, renowned as the first to use the B-marque’s W16 powerplant too.

The interior of the Brouillard appears largely similar to the Mistral, with the hard-top being the only real difference here.

The main gesture of the car is leaping forward and yet leaning back,” said Heyl further before adding how it also “reminds me of the novelty of the Veyron.”

With everything detailed, sources online also speculate this could be the most expensive ‘Bug ever sold too. For reference, the Mistral special mentioned saw each unit command a reported base price of €5 million (approx. RM24.68 million).

Given the last fact, expect this new one-off Brouillard from the Rimac-owned- and -runned hypercar firm to command significantly more thanks to its bespoke status.
