- 2026 Subaru Forester Price Revealed Online – RM221,500

In a rather surprising move, Subaru brand importers and distributors Motor Image Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Motor Image) has revealed the price for the new 2026 Subaru Forester model online via its official Malaysian website.
From which, the listing indicates the brand’s new sixth-generation C-SUV offering commands RM221,500 excluding insurance and on-road costs. For reference, this is a sizeable increase from the locally assembled (CKD) and range-topping outgoing Forester GT Edition EyeSight that was tagged at RM188,800.
Price aside, no other details were dished out– clicking on the Forester icon from the homepage will lead you to an empty landing page still. The price increase was expected given the decision by brand principals in halting its regional CKD operations in favour of a new CBU-only business model some time back.
Motor Image had already teased the new sixth-fen Forester last month, opening up early bookings then too.

As a refresher, Motor Image teased the new sixth-gen Forester locally late last month where it also announced early bookings were opened. Since then, the firm has yet to allow local press to view the car, electing instead to conduct exclusive private previews for customers at selected showroom outlets.
At said point, the firm had already confirmed a few key details regarding the Malaysian-bound new Forester model. Firstly on the powertrain front, we will see a familiar 2.5-litre ‘boxer’ or ‘flat’ 4-cyl petrol mill – a signature Subaru trait – under the hood offering up 182 hp and 247 Nm.
Paired with said mill are two other Subaru brand signatures, those being its Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission and its Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) suite paring, the latter featuring ‘Dual X-Mode’ off-road driving modes too.

We've detailed the sixth-gen Subaru Forester in greater depth from our last report, which you can read up on by clicking here.

Next comes the brand’s uprated EyeSight 4.0 ADAS suite that’s powered using dual stereo cameras, wide-angle monocular camera, and 360-degree surround camera. On board, highlights also include a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat, wireless charging pad, powered tailgate, as well as eight airbags lining the cabin.
An official launch is expected to take place in the coming weeks. Expect more details then.
