smart, the Chinese-German EV brand jointly owned by Geely and Mercedes-Benz, just released new images and key specifications of its first-ever sedan, the smart #6 EHD.
Initially revealed in MIIT filings, the model now appears in clearer detail, showcasing its streamlined proportions and performance-leaning plug-in hybrid (PHEV) setup.

The #6 EHD marks a notable shift for the joint venture: it is the first smart model under the Geely–Mercedes partnership to debut as a PHEV rather than a pure electric vehicle. This reflects a broader trend in the market, where demand for extended-range hybrids has seen renewed momentum, especially in China.

Design-wise, the smart #6 EHD takes on a sporty, coupe-like silhouette, and from certain angles it even resembles a scaled-down Xiaomi SU7. It carries full-width light bars front and rear, hidden door handles, side cameras, and an active pop-out rear spoiler.

Two exterior styles were shown, a clean white version and a more aggressive yellow one with matching brake calipers - though both are expected to share the same powertrain.
That powertrain is based on Geely’s NordThor Hybrid 2.0 system, combining a 120 kW 1.5-litre turbo engine, a 115 kW electric motor, and a 3-speed DHT for a total system output of 320 kW (429 hp).

The LFP battery is supplied by CATL or SVOLT, with capacity yet to be disclosed. smart quotes 285 KM of pure-electric CLTC range, a remarkable 1,810 KM combined range, and fuel consumption as low as 3.9 litres/100 KM, with a top speed of 200 km/h.

At 4906 mm long, 1922 mm wide and 1508 mm tall with a 2926 mm wheelbase, the smart #6 EHD is the largest smart model ever produced, riding on the longest wheelbase in the brand’s lineup.
A roof-mounted lidar suggests advanced driver-assistance features, while the interior remains under wraps but is expected to follow smart’s usual digital-first layout with a large central display and AI-driven interface.
