The iCaur V23 off-road capable EV SUV gets a new ‘Retro Edition’ upgrade kit, priced from RM18,888* onwards.

Months after making its local debut, iCaur Malaysia has launched a special ‘Retro Edition’ upgrade kit for the iCaur V23 EV SUV. Originally priced from RM22,000, this retro-inspired kit now comes with a limited-time offer of RM18,888 for the first 88 customers who book them, in conjunction with the Lunar New Year festivities.

Applicable for both existing and new V23 owners regardless of variants, the Retro Edition kit transforms this EV SUV into a modern-classic off-roader, emphasizing the V23’s bold and boxy silhouette.

Some key bits include a chromed-up front grille with crosshatch inserts and a hood trim strip, front fender ornaments made from real wood, front and rear chrome bumpers, flared-out chrome wheel arches, larger side steps with real wood, and a full roof rack with a built-in side ladder.

Not to forget, you can also opt for the Retro Edition kit with two distinct two-tone exterior colourways, either in green or orange. The rest of the car, however, remains unchanged from the original model, including the interior, which is left untouched for this makeover.

The same goes for its powertrain setup, with the baseline V23 2WD variant pairing a rear-mounted e-motor with a 59.93 kWh LFP battery producing 136 PS and 180 Nm. As for range, up to 360 km NEDC (306 km WLTP) is touted, whereas 0–100 km/h sprints are despatched in 11 seconds en route towards a limited 140 km/h V-max. Charging speeds see both 6.6 kW AC and up to 85 kW DC.

The iWD variant, on the other hand, brings a more powerful dual-motor AWD setup paired with a larger 81.76 kWh NMC pack, producing 211 PS and 292 Nm. Century sprints are quicker at 7.5 seconds, and there's a longer range too—up to 430 km NEDC (366 km WLTP). DC fast charging increases to 104 kW, while AC remains at 6.6 kW. Both variants support V2L outputs up to 3.2 kW.

The special Retro Edition upgrade kit for the iCaur V23 EV SUV comes standard with a 12-month warranty, while the integrated side steps are covered by an extended 18-month warranty.

As for the car itself, the V23 EV retails from RM119,870 on-the-road (OTR) sans insurance for the baseline 2WD variant, while the top-spec iWD is tagged higher at RM132,980 OTR. Both variants come inclusive with a 7-year or 150,000 km base vehicle warranty, an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty with one-to-one replacement should battery health (SOH) fall below 70%, plus an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty covering the drive motor and control unit.
