Built To Tackle Tough Terrains, The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor Off-Road Package
![]()
Ensuing the success of the 2022 Maverick, Ford is expanding its compact truck line-up with the new 2023 Maverick Tremor Off-Road Package.
Sales of the Maverick and Maverick Tremor start this September as the company re-opens the order banks for its line-up of high-demand vehicles.
The Tremor Off-Road Package adds USD 2,995 (RM 13,341), while the Tremor Appearance Package adds USD 1,495 (RM 6,659). Both to the base Maverick XL price of USD 21,490 (RM 95,723).

Offered for the XLT and Lariat series models, the new Maverick Tremor is an entry-level option that proposes greater off-road capability and bold styling in the same compact package.
Performance-wise, it is equipped with a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, and the compact pickup builds on the FX4 Off-Road Package with a new all-wheel-drive system.
This advanced system includes a twin-clutch rear-drive unit with a differential lock feature to allow greater off-road capability. Outstandingly, it can divert virtually all rear axle torque to either wheel.

Next, it has five drive modes that are swiftly changeable for on-road and off-road capability. They are pavement, mud, sand, snow and towing.
On top of that, the new Maverick also comes with exclusive Trail Control, which operates like cruise control for off-road driving.
To activate, simply select a set speed, then the truck manages throttle and braking, allowing drivers to have more steering focus through challenging conditions like mud or dirt.

Unique front and rear springs and shocks aid in improved off-road capability, and these new shocks, together with a 1-inch increase in ride height, also contribute to a more assertive stance.
Then, the off-road capability is further bolstered by a heavy-duty transmission cooler and upgraded half-shafts.
Other than that, even though the new Maverick is a compact truck, it offers a maximum tow rating of 900 kg and payload rating of 544 kg.

Exterior-wise, the Maverick Tremor comes with a unique grille finish, signature Tremor Orange accented front tow hooks, and blacked-out Ford logos, headlights and taillights.
Additionally, for an even bolder look, the Tremor Appearance Package that is offered adds carbonized grey-painted roof and mirror caps, plus black side graphics on the hood and lower body.
Its 17-inch aluminium wheels have a new Tremor Orange and dark grey anodized finish, wrapped in standard all-terrain tires for improved traction on loose surfaces like sand, gravel and dirt.

Meanwhile, a new lower front fascia with a more aggressive approach angle and steel skid plates results in improved capability.
Interior-wise, the bold design continues with Black Onyx seats featuring stitched Tremor logos and signature Tremor Orange accents.
Last but not least, the centre console, register vents and door pulls are updated to include the new colour scheme as well.

Ford’s truck product marketing and brand manager, Todd Eckert, remarked, “Ranger, F-150 and Super Duty customers have embraced the unique off-road capability, technology and appearance updates found across our Tremor family of trucks. The Maverick Tremor delivers on this same promise with new functions and features designed for off-roading, all while keeping the truck’s signature size, affordability, and Built Ford Tough durability and capability.”
That said, Ford has also announced its retail order banks will be reopening for Bronco Sport, Edge, Explorer and Ranger, while retail orders for the F-150 and Transit opened a few weeks ago.
