BMW Malaysia updated its line up after announcing the availability of the 2022 BMW M850i xDrive Coupe MY Edition today. Essentially, this is a refreshed iteration of the 8 Series Coupe model the firm introduced locally back in 2018.

Light exterior changes have been performed, the most notable being the model’s front fascia as the signature kidney grilles are now lit up via the ‘Iconic Glow’ LED lighting suite.
Other new bits include M side mirrors, M emblem in the aforementioned grille, 20-inch double-spoke style M light alloy wheels in 895 M Bicolour finish wrapped in performance tyres in staggered sizes, M Sport brake calipers finished in high-gloss black, as well as the addition of both the M Lights Shadowline and M high-gloss Shadowline with extended contents.
As for paintjob options, the 2022 BMW M850i xDrive Coupe MY Edition can be dressed in either BMW Individual Frozen Pure Grey Metallic or BMW Individual Frozen Tanzanite Blue Metallic.

On board, the refreshed BMW M850i xDrive Coupe MY Edition sees its cabin updated with a new and larger 12.3-inch high-resolution control display, a pair of M Sport seats up front, Carbon Fibre M interior trim finishers, as well as new electroplated control in the doors.
Besides that, both a Bower & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system and a dual-zone automatic climate control suite come as standard equipment. The interior upholstery, on the other hand, now sees the BMW Individual Extended Leather Trim “Merino” present, and it can be had in either Black, Cognac, Ivory White, Night Blue, Tartufo and Fiona Red colour options.
Mechanically, the 2022 BMW M850i xDrive Coupe MY Edition remains unchanged from before. It still packs a turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 petrol mill delivering 530 hp and 750 Nm. Drive goes to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic, allowing for 0-100 kmh in just 3.9 seconds whilst top speed is electronically restricted at 250 kmh.

As for price, the refreshed 2022 BMW M850i xDrive Coupe MY Edition commands a base figure of RM1,102,800 excluding insurance. Included in said price is the BMW Service and Repair Inclusive package, BMW Malaysia’s 5-year Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service Programme, and the BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline access.
Access to the BMW Group Loyalty+ Mobile App and BMW Privileges Card, as well as the BMW Service Online, are also included with each purchase of the refreshed 2022 BMW M850i xDrive Coupe.
