Hyundai Ioniq 6 Australia Specs Confirmed - Will Malaysia get the same?

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is set to enter the Australian market very soon, and specifications for said market have been confirmed. No release dates were mentioned yet, but the Korean automaker will have three variants ready for Australians.
The range includes a base model that will be priced at AUS$74,000 (approx. RM221,634), followed by the higher-spec Techniq and Epiq, which will cost AUS$83,500 (approx. RM250,087) and AUS$88,000 (approx. RM263,565), respectively.

Aside from that, this dedicated EV is primed with a bevy of impressive features that include Hyundai’s SmartSense safety package, Bluelink connected car services, over-the-air software update abilities, smart power tailgate, leather-upholstered seats, alloy scuff plates, alloy pedals, heated front seats, and both a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment display.
Leading on to that, the Techniq adds 20-inch wheels, a full-width glass sunroof, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats which you will not find on the Dynamiq. The Epiq, on the other hand, offers digital side mirrors, a high-efficiency heater/heat pump, and a battery conditioning system.

Underpinning the same E-GMP EV platform as the Ioniq 5, a similar 77.4 kWh battery pack is present in all versions although the Dynamiq is only propelled by a single electric motor that produces 350 NM of torque and 225 HP of power. As for range, Hyundai says up to 614 KM (WLTP) is possible too.
In both the Techniq and Epiq variants, these harness dual electric motors and HTRAC all-wheel drive (AWD) instead, which consists of a front motor with 99 HP and 255 NM plus a rear motor that serves up 221 HP and 350 NM. Despite having more power, this variant's range is only 519 KM.

Besides Australia, Malaysia is set to be another market to receive the sleek new electric saloon from Hyundai this year. Local brand custodians Hyundai Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) had teased the Ioniq 6 earlier this year. However, specifications, price, and launch dates remain uncertain for the moment.
