One-off Lamborghini Invencible & Autentica Unveiled, Ends Lamborghini’s Pure V12 Era

Lamborghini has unwrapped a one-off pair of hypercars that marks the end of its pure, naturally aspirated V12 era. Called the Invencible and Autentica, these specials are based on the outgoing Aventador model, and each harnesses the raging bull marque’s naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 mill.

Both underpin the Aventador’s carbon-fibre moncoque base, and feature full carbon fibre bodies that sport styling cues inspired by the Sesto Elemento, the Reventón, and the Veneno. Closer inspection reveals these elements primed into the outrageous bodywork, like intakes, triple exhaust and engine cover. These come on top of the signature Lamborghini  hexagonal motif integrated into its lights.

Apart from that, noteworthy touches include the Invencible coupe’s Rosso Efesto paint, followed by the Autentica open-top roadster’s Grigio Titans hue. As for the cabin, Lamborghini says the cockpits feature minimalist dash designs. Though it makes do without any infotainment system, there are 3D-printed air vents to marvel at instead.

As mentioned, Lamborghini’s signature 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 makes its final appearances in both after the Aventador Ultimae – the latter saw its production end back in Sept last year. Said mill is the most potent version of which available in Lamborghini’s arsenal, delivering a whopping 769 HP and 720 NM to all four wheels via both a 7-speed ISR box and all-wheel-drive (AWD).

Lamborghini hasn’t disclosed any performance claims, but expect these specials to outperform the Aventador Ultimae. To refresh your memory, said Aventador model despatched 0-100 KM/H in just 2.8 seconds whilst enroute towards a claimed V-max of 355 KM/H.

“As we head towards embracing a new era of hybridisation at the heart of our ‘Cor Tauri’ strategy, this is the Lamborghini way of celebrating the naturally aspirated V12 with two one-off vehicles that perfectly represent our concept of excellence in personalisation,” said Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Lamborghini.

As for price, this was also not disclosed by Lamborghini, but you can bet that both are equally pricey as one-offs, and both are perhaps spoken for too.

Looking ahead, word has it that Lamborghini will unveil the successor of the Aventador very soon. It will still pack a V12, but feature a hybrid petrol-electric setup instead.
