Here’s How The Proton S70 R3 GT *Might* Look Like!
Proton S70 GT rendering by Chin Swee Hoe @ Theottle
Local automotive render artist Chin Swee Hoe (also known as Theottle) is back at it again, this time with yet another rendering based on the upcoming Proton S70. Previously showing us the hatchback version of the S70, this time we’ve got to see the souped-up version of the sedan car, cordially named the Proton S70 GT.
A little back story on the new S70, this new sedan is yet another Proton model that is based on a Geely model, with the Geely Emgrand sedan being the donor to the S70. Marketed as a C-segment sedan with a B-segment pricing, the S70 is set to be launched any time soon, where it will be the spiritual successor to the marque’s previous C-sedan fighter, the Proton Preve.

Moving on to this latest rendering by Theottle, the S70 GT features a slew of cosmetic upgrades and several sporty bits, with highlights being the GT-style body kit. Up front, this body kit bestows the S70 GT with a stylish front bumper, featuring bigger side air vents and lower air intake. Meanwhile, both its front lip and diamond-pattern front grille are finished in black, with the latter featuring a chrome finish on the standard S70 model.
More black accents and parts can be seen on the side part of the S70 GT. This includes on both the wheel arches and side skirts, the side mirror caps, as well as the window surround. Additionally, this tuned-up S70 also rides on a larger set of wheels with multi-spoke design and all-black finish.

Apart from the new body kit, the S70 GT also gets a small GT rear wing at its tailgate, finished in matching black hue as both the roof and the rear bumper accent. Speaking of which, said part also comes with bigger and more prominent exhaust channels, with its surround finished in contrasting polished metal hue.
Should the new Proton S70 (left) gets the same tuned-up R3 version like the X50 R3 (right) here?
Unlike the rendered S70 hatchback, we’d reckon this S70 GT is more likely to be an actual model by Proton, judging by how closely this tuned-up rendered model resembles the actual S70 sedan. More importantly, this S70 GT rendering could also give you an indication of how Proton will design the souped-up R3 version of the S70, should the automaker decide to give its new C-segment sedan the same treatment as we saw on the X50, among others.
So folks, what do you think of the Proton S70 GT rendering by Theottle? Could this possibly be the upcoming, tuned-up version of the Proton S70 sedan? As always, don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comments down below…
