According to Transport Minister Anthony Loke, the five Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) stations that were previously cancelled should be operational by 2027.

He stated that these new stations' construction cannot be finished or put into service by the following year because it is not feasible to finish it in a year because the stations have not been constructed. "These are optional stations to be reintroduced, with implementation expected to take two or three years." He added.

The government will resurrect the plan to construct the five previously cancelled LRT3 stations, Tropicana, Raja Muda, Temasya, Bukit Raja, and Bandar Botanik. The project is estimated to cost RM4.7 billion, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who made the announcement during the presentation of the 2024 Budget. LRT3_R1-2.jpg

Beginning on March 1, 2025, work on the LRT3 construction project in Klang, Selangor, will move from Bandar Utama to Johan Setia. This massive transportation project, which is expected to benefit two million residents, is expected to cost about RM16 billion.

Regarding the LRT3 project's status, Loke stated that as of December 25 of last year, it had reached 91.68 percent completion. The LRT Shah Alam line's scheduled launch date is March 1 of the following year.

Furthermore, the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link construction, which connects Johor Baru and Singapore, is progressing well. Over 33% of the system aspect and 65% of the infrastructure have been completed. The full completion target is set for December 31, 2026, Loke stated.

Four kilometers of rail connect Bukit Chagar, Johor Baru Station, and Woodlands in Singapore. Of the three hundred fifty daily commuters who use the Johor Causeway, thirty-five percent are expected to use the RTS Link.

Regarding the Bandaraya station's repair status, Loke stated that work has been finished and is presently going through a trial phase by the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD). By the end of February, operations are anticipated to resume.

Prasarana funded the RM30 million repair work, according to Loke, adding that the company plans to take the contractor or project owner to court to hold them liable for the station's damages.

The Ampang LRT line experienced delays on January 27, 2018, as a result of a misaligned track near the Bandaraya LRT station. The viaduct's structural damage was ascribed to construction activities in the vicinity.

The route between Masjid Jamek and Bandaraya stations was temporarily closed by Rapid Rail as a result of this incident, forcing LRT passengers to choose buses or other alternate modes of transportation in order to get to their destinations.
