You Can Now Get New Proton Cars with Factory-Fitted Window Tints
You can now get a new Proton car with factory-fitted window tints from the newly-opened Proton Accessories Tint Centre.
Customers who are keen to buy a new Proton can now get their cars factory-fitted with window tints, as national automaker Proton has established its dedicated window tint installation centre. Cordially known as the Proton Accessories Tint Centre, this dedicated facility is located within Proton’s state-of-the-art manufacturing compound in Tanjung Malim, Perak.
This new facility is capable of handling up to 5,000 window tint installations in a month.
According to Proton, this centre is capable of handling up to 5,000 window tint installations in a month, with each one of them using precise pre-cut dies for better precision and stringent quality assurance. Besides that, opting for factory-fitted window tints by the OEM also assures that the tints comply with JPJ regulations, while eliminating the possibility of secondary defects commonly associated with aftermarket installations.
On top of those things, Proton also offers a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty on all tinting services, underscoring the marque’s commitment to customer satisfaction and the durability of its products.
This factory-fitted tinting service is currently available for both the Proton X90 (left) and S70 (right), followed by several other models in the near future.
Prior to this, Proton previously offered security window tinting services to selected models as part of their standard accessories package. This includes models like both the Flagship and Premium variants of the Proton X90 SUV, as well as the Flagship and Flagship X versions of the Proton S70 saloon.
With Proton now fully- establishing its dedicated window tinting facility, the automaker will further expand this option to other models in the near future.

“The launch of our new tint centre in Tanjung Malim is a significant step towards Proton’s commitment to delivering quality products and more value to our customers. By taking responsibility for the fitment process, we have better quality control and can offer better peace of mind,” said Proton Edar CEO Roslan Abdullah.
“With a current built-in capacity of 5,000 vehicles per month, the tint centre is also prepared to take on any short-term increase in volume as more models in Proton’s range are offered with tinting as a standard-fit accessory," the CEO added.
