Porsche Ships 77,640 Cars Worldwide In The First Quarter Of 2024
Porsche keeps climbing the charts to the top. Thanks to popular models like the Taycan, Macan, Panamera, and Cayenne, as well as an abundance of flawlessly equipped new Porsches circulating social media, Porsche continues to grow and deliver consistent numbers in the first quarter of 2024.
In spite of obstacles like market shifts and delays in regulations, the carmaker shipped 77,640 units globally.
Porsche delivered 20,044 vehicles in Europe, with the exception of Germany, an increase of 9% over the same period previous year. Deliveries of cars increased by 37% in Germany, reaching 11,274 units.
This figure is positive for both the brand and automobiles in general since it demonstrates the continued relevance of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles in the world of electric vehicles (EVs). Conversely, the automaker delivered 16,340 cars in China, a 24 percent drop from the previous year's strong sales during the same period due to post-Covid catch-up effects, along with a shift towards value-oriented sales and ongoing economic challenges.

Porsche shipped 15,087 cars in North America, a 23 percent decrease that was mostly caused by delays in certain model shipments due to customs. In the meantime, deliveries of automobiles to foreign and developing markets increased by 14% to 14,895.
With 28,025 units delivered, up 20%, the Porsche Cayenne reportedly led the pack, while the Porsche Macan saw a 14% decline in deliveries, with 20,576 customers receiving its units.

Due to continuous model changes, the Panamera saw a 28 percent decline in sales, reaching 6,139 customers, while the iconic 911 sports car continued to be popular, with 12,892 units sold globally, a 17 percent increase. The Porsche Taycan also saw a decline in sales, with 4,236 deliveries in the first quarter, a 54 percent decrease.
