Viral: Reckless Driving Man Escapes Death After Being Flung Out Of SUV

Being ejected out of your car - even sideways through an open window - are just one of many risks you face for not wearing your seatbelt!
Here’s a video that ought to stand as yet another reminder for all of us to always buckle up. Making viral rounds on the internet this week was this video depicting a man dodging death despite being flung out of his 4x4 SUV whilst hooning it on a beach.
According to sources on social media, the incident took place on a beachfront in Kuwait. Aptly, this incident not only highlights the dangers of driving recklessly even in an unpopulated space, but also the serious dangers of not wearing a seatbelt.
As you can see in the video, it didn’t take much to put the Toyota FJ Cruiser – a relatively popular 4x4 SUV in the Middle East – to roll over on itself. The laws of physics involving differing speeds in and out of a body of water and different surfaces, plus the FJ Cruiser’s high-riding nature, all play a part here.
Miraculously, though ejected into the air, the driver did not land on the hardened beach sand, but straight into the relatively shallow seawater instead. This was perhaps a ‘softer’ crash-landing for the man who reportedly survived the ordeal with only minor injuries.
The same can’t be said about the FJ Cruiser. This unnecessary show of recklessness, which saw said SUV subjected to the high-speed impact with the seawater and being rolled-over, took its toll, resulting in a mangled wreck.

Though the reckless driver in this viral video survived, the Toyota FJ Cruiser subjected to this unnecessary show of reckless driving, did not.
Seatbelts exists for a reason – they’re primarily designed to restrain you safely in place in the event of a crash. Millions of deaths have been prevented by this relatively simple three-point restraining system, which has seen little to no changes in said base design over the years.
However, despite its proven effectiveness, and its track record in saving millions of lives, there are still an alarming number of motorists on our roads today that still refuse to buckle up. Well, perhaps this viral post ought to remind folks once and for all to always buckle up, even for short journeys…
