Final Special Editions Mark The End For Alfa Romeo Stelvio And Giulia Quadrifoglio

Both the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia Quadrifoglio are bowing out in style thanks to a newly announced "Super Sport" special.
Alfa Romeo is set to discontinue the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio duo, and the firm is doing so in the only fashion it knows. Revealed recently were new “Super Sport” special guises for both, which features an intriguing red carbon weave interior, plus a host of other special additions.
The "Super Sport" moniker on these limited-edition cars honours Alfa Romeo's first Mille Miglia victory in 1928 with the 6C 1500 Super Sport.

This special guise also sees a unique twist to the signature Quadrifoglio four-leaf clover badge.
For the first time since the four-leaf clover's introduction 101 years ago, the famous logo's customary white backdrop has given way to a black triangle. Adding to which are the choice of three special exterior paints - Nero Vulcano metallic, three-layer Rosso Etna, or Bianco Alfa.
In Super Sport trim, the Giulia Quadrifoglio sports saloon also rolls on 19-inch wheels, whereas larger 21-inch alloys are fitted to its Stelvio Quadrifoglio twin instead.

Both cars utilise the same 2.9-litre V6 mill as found in their respective base, which outputs 513 HP.

On board, the cabins of both are decked out with special red barbon fibre trims.
Underneath, the twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 ,mill powering both models still produces the same 513 HP output as the base Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Fitted as standard equipment on these specials though is the Akrapovič sports exhaust, which is normally a cost-option.
The interior features red carbon fiber on the dashboard, center console, and door cards, with a 3D effect complimenting the red stitching on the seats.
Crucially, each car sees limited availability in “Super Sport” guise as detailed - just 275 units for the Giulia Quadrifoglio, and only 175 units planned for the Stelvio Quadrifoglio version, thus making the latter SUV twin rarer than the saloon. KR
