smart Malaysia Collaborates With The University of Wollongong Malaysia

smart Malaysia (PRO-NET) teamed up with the University of Wollongong Malaysia (UOWM) for a unique academic contest.
smart Malaysia (PRO-NET) has embarked on a new innovative collaboration with the University of Wollongong Malaysia (UOWM). Together, both parties have devised a unique academic competition.
Aimed at university students, said academic contest marks a significant step forward in fostering innovation and collaboration within the electric vehicle (EV) industry and integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.
Themed ‘Electrifying The Future,’ this contest requires participants to submit an imaginative video on the topic “What do you think the world will be like when electric cars become the norm?" The aim here is to both inspire and empower the next generation of creative thinkers, strategic visionaries, and problem solvers to reimagine and express the future of mobility through unique storytelling.

This unique academic contest is opened to pupils of UOWM, and winning entries stand to win up to RM5,000 in cash.
"We view our partnership with the University of Wollongong Malaysia as a testament to our dedication to empowering forward-thinking minds, ready to influence the narrative of sustainable transportation in the automotive industry," said Zhang Qiang, CEO of smart Malaysia.
Said competition was kicked off on May 31, 2024, and is open to individual students and teams of three to four persons from the UOWM. Submissions will be judged by two representatives from each organisation, and scored based on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, storytelling effectiveness, and overall production quality.
Lastly, the grand prize of RM5,000 cash will be awarded to the winning team, whilst first and second runners up teams will win RM4,000 and RM3,000 cash prizes respectively too. Additionally, there will also be an ‘Honourable Mention’ to recognise outstanding entries. KR
