GAC GS3 Emzoom Awarded 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Rating

WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd’s (WTCA) latest Chinese-branded CKD entry, the GAC GS3 Emzoom, securing a 5-star safety rating in the ASEAN New Car Assessment Program (ASEAN NCAP). Tested under the 2021–2025 protocol, the GS3 Emzoom earned an outstanding overall score of 88.39 points.
The vehicle’s high score reflects its strong performance across four critical safety categories.
- In Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) - 36.60 points
- Child Occupant Protection (COP) - 16.43 points
- In the Safety Assist (SA) - 17.86 points
- Motorcyclist Safety (MS) - 17.50 points

The GAC GS3 Emzoom comes equipped with an extensive range of safety features as standard across all its variants. These include six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and a Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for front-seat occupants.
Additionally, advanced safety features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for both city and inter-urban driving, AEB for pedestrians, Blind Spot Visualization (BSV) on both driver and passenger sides, Auto High Beam (AHB), and Pedestrian Protection (PP) technology are also standard.

The 5-seater hatchback also offers AEB for motorcycles, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Keep Assist (LKA) as standard. Rear seat belt reminders are available on the higher-spec models.
Based on these test results, ASEAN NCAP commended GAC Motors for their unwavering commitment to safety. The vehicle’s innovative safety features, particularly the BSV and AEB for motorcycles, are designed to significantly reduce the risk of collisions, especially in Southeast Asia where two-wheelers are a preferred mode of transport.
