No More Queues, Keep Counters Open Or Expect Spot Checks - JPJ D-G
According to JPJ Director-General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli, state directors of the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and the heads of their respective branches (KC) risk severe consequences if they leave service counters unattended or unsupervised.
In a statement, Aedy stressed that the department under his direction is primarily focused on improving JPJ's public delivery system, which will reduce traffic and wait times that includes providing efficient counter service. “Our focus at the moment is quality service at the counter and this was also emphasised by Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar who wants every available counter to be manned and not be left unattended or underused with only two out of five available counters open. “Hence, action will be taken if any state JPJ director or KC do not carry out their duties efficiently or if counters are idle or not opened,” he said.

In order to guarantee optimal counter service, the director general issues a warning about his unexpected visit to observe firsthand the effectiveness of department personnel at JPJ locations across the country.
Aedy however acknowledged that he was pleased with the state JPJ's quick response in putting his and other top management's ideas and improvements into action. One such initiative is "JPJ Assist," which assists and provides appropriate advice to clients who come to the department for assistance.
