Proton has introduced a new prepaid service package - ProCare Smart Plan (PSP) currently available for its Saga, X90 and 2025 X70 with promised savings of up to RM670, depending on the model.

New car buyers can choose between a three- or five-year package which will help manage ownership costs while ensuring their vehicles are serviced at Proton’s network of 3S/4S dealerships by skilled technicians using genuine Proton parts.

Customers can also save up to 15% on maintenance compared to regular service packages and if the car is sold while the PSP is still valid, the remaining benefits are transferable to the new owner.

Meanwhile, existing owners of the three models mentioned above can also purchase the prepaid service packages however it will be capped at two-year intervals with savings of up to RM350, depending on the model.

For added convenience, Proton is also offering easy payment options for the PSP. Customers can opt for a Fixed Payment Plan (FPP) via the Affin Avance PROTON credit card for up to 24 months or choose a shariah-compliant digital lending platform with a repayment period of up to 12 months.

While the PSP is currently limited to the three models, Proton plans to extend the offering to all models in the future.

According to Edmund Lim, VP of Sales and After Sales at Proton Edar, “The ProCare Smart Plan combines industry-leading after-sales service with peace of mind for customers, knowing that scheduled maintenance costs are capped for the next three or five years. This not only aids in better budget management but also helps increase the retained value of the vehicle.”
