Xiaomi SU7 Meets Full-Year Target With 130,000 Sales
In just nine months since its launch, Xiaomi has delivered 130,000 units of Xiaomi's SU7 electric sedan in China, marking a significant milestone for the carmaker. Given the high demand for the car in the Chinese market, this accomplishment exceeds the brand's revised yearly delivery target set earlier.
The SU7, which was released on March 28, 2023 made headlines when it received 50,000 orders in just 27 minutes. Xiaomi increased its manufacturing efforts in spite of early production difficulties, and by June, monthly production had accelerated to 20,000 vehicles.

During its first month of sales, the SU7 delivered 10,000 units, marking its first milestone. Another 90,000 units were delivered over the course of the following 198 days, bringing the total number of deliveries to 130,000 by December 28. This included the delivery of an additional 30,000 cars in just 45 days.
According to China EV DataTracker, Xiaomi recorded 16,328 units sold in December, which is an impressive accomplishment for a car that was introduced less than a year earlier.

In order to strengthen its position in the domestic EV market, Xiaomi has also revealed plans to launch two additional models in 2025: the Xiaomi YU7 crossover and the three-motor SU7 Ultra sedan.
The SU7 Ultra car, dubbed the fastest sedan in the world, can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in 1.98 seconds with its three motors that provide an incredible 1,548 horsepower. This is faster than the Tesla Model S Plaid, Lucid Air Sapphire, and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.

Meanwhile, the YU7 SUV, which is set to go on sale in June or July of next year, is simply a lifted SU7 that is likely to be even more powerful than the ordinary top-spec SU7 Max.
