Perak Police Spots 21 Accident-Prone Areas For CNY

Bernama reports that Perak police have identified 21 accident hotspots in advance of Chinese New Year celebrations this year. These locations include KM114-KM117 Jalan Ipoh-Butterworth, KM1 Jalan Teluk Intan-Bidor, KM17.5 Jalan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur (Lubuk Buaya), and KM16 Jalan Teluk Intan-Hutan Melintang.

43 traffic congestion areas, including the Slim River Toll Plaza traffic light, KM73 Jalan Teluk Muroh-Sungai Wangi near the Kampung Lumut Kiri traffic lights, Jalan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur (Gopeng Toll Plaza), and Pekan Selama, have also been observed in anticipation of increased traffic during the holiday season.


250 police officers will be on duty throughout the state during Operation Selamat 23, which runs from January 28 to February 2, to guarantee efficient traffic flow and the security of all users of the roads, Zulkafli says.
