Jaecoo J7 PHEV Units Begin Arriving At Dealerships Nationwide

Jaecoo Malaysia revealed today that the first batch of Jaecoo J7 PHEV units have begun arriving at dealerships.
Earlier today, Jaecoo Malaysia revealed via press release that the first batch of the recently launched Jaecoo J7 PHEV premium SUV model have begun arriving at authorised dealerships and showrooms starting today.
The arrival of this first batch of J7 PHEV units into dealer hands and showroom floors sees the firm fulfilling its initial promise of commencing deliveries for said model within the first quarter (Q1) of this year.

The arrival of this first batch sees Jaecoo Malaysia fulfilling its initial promise of commencing deliveries within the first quarter (Q1) of this year.
“The arrival of the first units of the Jaecoo J7 PHEV at dealerships nationwide marks a major milestone for Jaecoo Malaysia and demonstrates our commitment to customers.,” remarked Jaecoo Malaysia Vice President Emily Lek regarding this milestone.
As a refresher, the Jaecoo J7 PHEV was launched locally some three weeks ago. It is the third variant of the popular Jaecoo J7 model that’s both produced (CKD) and marketed locally – the other two being the non-PHEV J7 2WD and J7 AWD guises launched in July last year.
Naturally, with its arrival at dealerships this week, initial customer deliveries are also expected to commence very soon.

Highlights of the SHS PHEV powertrain primed in the Jaecoo J7 PHEV.
The Jaecoo J7 PHEV packs an electrified ‘Super Hybrid System’ (SHS) plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. It’s comprised of a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo Dedicated Hybrid Engine (DHE), a front-mounted e-motor, 18.3 kWh PHEV battery pack, and a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT).
Altogether, the package boasts peppy outputs of 347 PS and 525 NM, but the real headlining figure from which stems from its efficiency as Jaecoo Malaysia officially touts this model in being able to chart up to 1,300 KM on a single tank and charge.
We’ve sampled said efficiency first hand when we took the Jaecoo J7 PHEV in a cross-country drive across China ahead of its launch.

The other headlining figure is of course the accessible RM158,800 price tag commanded by the Jaecoo J7 PHEV.
The other headlining figure with the Jaecoo J7 PHEV is of course its RM158,800 price tag – just RM10,000 more than the non-PHEV Jaecoo J7 AWD variant. Included here is an 8-year or 160,000 KM warranty for the PHEV battery pack, power motor, and motor controller unit.
Additionally, should the PHEV battery pack’s state-of-health (SoH) drop below 70% within said warranty tenure, Jaecoo Malaysia will provide a one-to-one exchange for which. Also included in a reassuring 7-year or 150,000 KM base vehicle warranty.
